Great game, great price. Played it on bga, now addicted. I don't understand people saying specific monsters are completely overpowered. I've played it a lot on bga and some are definitely stronger but it's all down to skill and the luck of the roll!

A fun, great 2 player take on the original because I can't see the original game being good at 2 players so it definitely justifies it's existence. The dice are nice and chunky and the tokens aren't bad for this price point!

One thing that we learned through lockdown was how many of our games were for 3+players. Even the 2 player games were a very poor experience when the big mechanics really required 4+ players to work well. King Of Tokyo, which is one of my favourite games, falls apart when you reduce it to two players. All the benefits of being in first place (being able to attack multiple people) disappear when its just a pair of you. KOT:Duel is a very different game, with multiple win conditions, and relies far more on building up your monster's powers using special cards and dice combos. Its more thinky, complex, and relies on your opponent not being able to defend from multiple tactics. Honestly, this should be an option in the main game, but it works well as a standalone

As far as 2 player games go, prefer this to the original KoT.

Ich bin ein Riesen Fan vom klassischen King of Tokyo. Das Duel greift bekannte Spielmechaniken und Helden auf, bietet jedoch trotzdem ein komplett anderes Spielvergnügen.

Attention le jeu est en anglais et dans ce type de jeu c'est très important de comprendre ce qu'il y a d'écrit sur les cartes.

War alles drin, gutes Spiel. Schön wenn es zu wenig Menschen für King of Tokyo sind.
