Have the right wire for the metal your welding.
This little welder paid for itself the first time I used it. My lawnmower broke. I was able to run an extension cord out pull the broken piece of metal off weld it put it back on and I’m back to Moen. It’s a pretty cool little gizmo.

Flux Wire Feed Only
So firstly, this is NOT a MIG welder. I don't know why they say it is. They say "Gasless MIG" in the description...and there is no such thing. It is a flux core wire feed welder. But I still give it five stars because it is amazing. The wire feed unit is solid. Which is rare in cheap welders. And the inverter makes one of the nicest arcs I've ever used on a wire feed. Very stable. To test it I welded about an hour on some .065 square tubing that I was building some things with. And it kept up like one of my big welders just fine. Then I welded a bit of .120 and it was just as good. I used the one pound of wire that came with it...just to see, and it was pretty good stuff. Holding it gets a bit heavy after an hour or so which is why I quit after an hour. But it certainly had no heating problems or voltage/current variations after that amount of welding. This using my Vantage 500 as a power source for it. So I'm running it off of a GFI 15 amp plug. I don't know how it would perform on a regular household outlet. I didn't try it but it should be similar. The wire feed nozzles are the same as the ones in my welding box. Standard. If I was going to suggest any change to it at all....it would be to build a better spool cover but that's a small thing on something in this price range. So this is going to be something I carry in the welding truck in one of the tool box panels and its gonna be used lots.

Incredibly portable, great performance.
Let me just say wow. Far better than expected, was able to put down good welds on 1/8 inch material.

great for welding 1/8" or smaller
It's a great value for the money, easy to use and load wire, great for smaller metals

Packed a punch
I want to see if this could deliver welding thin gauge metal and it did great on the project. But I tried it on some 1/8 inch stock and it welded it with no problem. I will try heavier stuff when I get some.

Great Little Welder!!
First off this is an awesome little welder. Have been welding for years, probably before most of you were born. This thing is smooth and puts out beads to perfection. Much nicer than my trusty Hobart. Anyone can weld with this after a bit of hands on. Its not as ungainly as it may look, and I at least dont notice the weight which is some where around 5+ lbs. It may pose an issue in tight spaces. Its super nice its all in one piece and easy to transport to a site. My only complaint is it appears to have been used/ returned. Those scratches didnt happen in the well packed box! Reducing to 3 stars accordingly.
