Great for young kids who need to parch
Really normalized wearing a patch for our young kid who needs to strengthen one eye. It kind of ends without wrapping things up but that didn't bother the kid.

Thanks to the author for writing an adorable book to help my daughter ease into wearing a patch, 5 out of 7 days a week in front of other kids at day care. This book is on the Ohio Amblyope Registry information sheet and for good reason. It's adorable.

I thought it was wonderful
I bought this book for my nephew who was a little uneasy about having to wear an eye-patch in public. He liked this one and "The Patch" by Justina Chen Headley. My sister would read them both to him everyday before putting the patch on. I believe he and my sister both like "The Patch" better though because it addressed a wide range of topics other than just the patch itself. Overall it was really good though!

A picture is worth.........
The illustrations by Lynne Avril bring this book to life--an important story for all libraries to have for not only those seeking bibliotherapy about kids with vision challenges but for all kids who are different in some way. The pictures actually show what it's like to have vision difficulties as well as the very easy steps it takes to make things right. Always glad to see the caring teacher portrayed in books for kids!

Good Book For Children
This is a nice book to explain children why sometimes other kids are different or kids that have problems with their vision. It is fantastic!!!

Fun book for kids who need to wear patches.
We bought this for our 4 year old daughter who has had to start patching. She doesn't patch for double-vision like the character in this book, but we liked the fun way it presented patching. She loves it and asked us to read it frequently to her.

Great book
I'm an elementary school librarian and this book has caught the attention of my students. It lends itself to many discussions in the classroom and library.

Fun read with great illustrations
This is a great book that I have used with kids as young as two, the pictures are engaging enough to keep our youngest readers interested. The story is a great one for young children going though different challenges and turning something that could be considered a negative attribute into a fun one.

Quite expensive
Bought this to try and encourage my grandson to wear his eye patch, I cannot confirm if it has done the trick yet. My thoughts are the book is expensive for what it is especially as its the electronic version.

Great for 4 year olds who patch!
I was so happy to find that there are books about Amblyopia when my daughter was diagnosed at 4 years old. This story does a beautiful job of showing the world from the perspective of someone with amblyopia before and after getting treatment. It also shows how adults can misinterpret certain behaviors from children who are not diagnosed. My daughter loves this book and helped us to be able to talk with her about it and normalize it for her because we didn’t know anyone who had to patch.

Cute book
Good book, but is about seeing double, not our particular issue, cute nonetheless.
