My last pair of secaturs fell apart so I bought these mainly on price.The design is good with a secure grip, but would say they are more suitable for men than women, unless you have quite a large hand! I can't hold them fully open with one hand, but nevertheless I have used them. It is so nice not to have to work hard to cut through larger branches and twigs as the ratchet does it for you.I have spent all afternoon cutting back over grown shrubs and really pleased that my hand is not aching like it does with usual bypass cutters. No, if I could find some that would be a bit easier for my small hands, I'd be doubly happy !!

These broke after only the second use . As I have arthritis in my hands it was definitely NOT through using them on anything too thick or forcing the ratchet . Absolute waste of money and not even sharp enough to try to use as basic critters without the ratchet .

Excellent pruners, the ratchet makes it easy to cut through quite thick twigs and small branches with ease, especially if you suffer with arthritis/weak hands. Arrived promptly, great price, wish I had bought them sooner!

Brought these and after a few uses they only seem to cut now if you use the front of the blade.
