It works, and due to the little thread adapters will fit the majority of vehicles. This however is where it didn't suit me at all. It has to be said the radio in my car isn't brilliant at the best of times. Hence I thought this aerial, which claims a signal boost, might help. As shown in my picture, the new aerial (closest in view) is actually shorter than the aerial I was using by about an inch. In use radio reception was as bad as ever, so I'm afraid I can't recommend this aerial for my car (BMW i3) but it might work in yours. It's cheap enough to keep as a spare though!

Screwed into base and tuned some FM stations without issue, with reception being as good or possibly slightly better than a different antenna. DAB reception was more marginal though, but of course things will vary if in a moving vehicle. This also came with a trio of end-to-end screw adapters, two of which were size reducing ones for extra compatibility. Makes for a cheap replacement or alternative antenna.
