Easy To Cut -- Easy To Put Down -- Great Fabric To Work With
I got tired of replacing the weed barriers that I bought at the big box stores and looked for something more durable on Amazon. My wife wanted me to cover one of our landscaped areas with stone to avoid having the critters endemic to Southwest Florida dig into the mulch looking for grubs and creating holes in the weed barrier. Over time of course plant debris (leaves, branches, etc.) decay and provide a new layer for seeds to germinate in. That results in weeds growing on top of your ground cloth. The other problem with using stone on top of cheap weed barriers is that when you walk on it the stones eventually break holes in the barrier. There are a few tricks to getting the best results out of a good quality ground cover. First off, always lay it and leave plenty of play in the cloth. Don't draw it tight because putting stones on it or stepping on it will cause it to rip. Make sure that it covers your area loosely and use the pins to hold it down very sparingly. Remember, ANY hole in your ground cover can catch a seed. When using a border of flagstone/bricks/landscape timbers, make sure to run the cloth all the way under the border material. Forgetting to do that will result in weeds sprouting between the border and the stones, creating a constant and difficult place to remove the weeds. When using landscape timbers of pressure treated 4 X 4's, I'll staple the ground cloth all the way up the inside of the timber, again allowing plenty of loose cloth to remain on the ground. Hopefully this will result in a relatively maintenance free landscaped area. When weeds eventually pop up, spray them with Round-Up or equivalent glyphosphate product to kill the weed all the way to the root. Try to always walk outside the edge of the landscaped area and avoid walking on the stones. I also periodically also use a leaf blower to remove dust, dirt, seeds, and leaves from the stones, again trying to clear the area without walking on it. Following these simple guidelines should help you keep the area clean and functional for a long time.

Great quality and great price
We decided to take on our landscaping by ourselves (yea, we wont be doing that again!!) and it included moving 20 tons of rocks and mulch. We needed a good weed barrier and we couldn't find any at a good price locally. Bought about 4 of these and they work great. Keep weeds at bay and if there are any, they're easily taken out. As with all weed barriers, if they're exposed to the sun for too long, they will dry out and crumble to pieces, so make sure you work in sections so to avoid harsh exposure to sun. For the amount you get, this is a great price and is the higher quality material.

Nice to work with...
I read all the reviews on everything before I bought and decided to purchase the Dewitt landscape fabric. it arrived and I found it to be of good quality and thicker than the brands at the local big box home stores. It is easy to work with, rolls out nice and cuts easy with scissors. I can tell you the water flows through nicely and I used some metal staples to hold it down overnight and even though we had high winds it did not tear or rip and was in place the next day. I have only had it down for a month or so cannot comment on how well it will block the weeds but this is a quality product and great to work with. I will be purchasing more for the back yard later this summer. Hopefully it will block the weeds as well. Definitely recommend buying it up to this point.

6 months of heavy traffic shows no wearing out.
DO NOT waste your money on weed barrier from Home Depot. (like I've done in the past) This is commercial grade quality and was worth every penny. It is thick and difficult to tear. Water drains right through with ease. I am very happy with this as the flooring in my greenhouse and could see it being used for misc projects around the yard. 6 Month Update: Still going strong !! We are revamping and enlarging our greenhouse which means I had to pull up this weed barrier. We use it as a floor in our greenhouse with no covering (no gravel, bark, etc)I am able to reuse 90% of the fabric even though it gets walked on constantly. The only spots that tore or got holes is where there were stones poking up from the dirt underneath. Just sweep it off and reuse. Very happy with the quality & durability. I'll be back in another 6 months for a 2nd update !!

Update: Roots punched through this with relative ease. Much better than what you can get at big box stores
Update: Used for raised garden beds to prevent weeds. Roots have busted through making this pretty worthless now as I'm just buying time. These aren't even from trees, just normal everyday weeds. I thought the stronger barrier would help and it only delayed the inevitable. Once one tiny root breaks it, it seems to just keep coming after that. I even bought the heavier 5oz woven barrier for the last few beds and my faith in that holding up is not high. For garden beds, just skip it and go with mulch. Buy a $200 electric tiller/cultivator with the money you would have spent on this. _______________ Compared to what is found at home improvement stores, this is night and day. Doesn't turn to tissue paper when left exposed to the sun (I would still not use this as exposed ground cover. I think the Pro 5oz by Dewitt is what you would want). Obviously much thicker and harder to see through. Very sturdy but still easy to cut. Local stores wanted $125+tax. Amazon was $90.

First 2 rolls were great, but third roll disappointed
This is the third time I have ordered this item. The first 2 times I was very happy with the landscape fabric. On this third roll that I ordered, I was very surprised to find that after unrolling about 25 feet of it, the fabric was cut and a strip of adhesive tape was affixed to hold it together. The adhesive tape barely held the fabric together and easily pulled off. So, I was forced to scrap some of the fabric and restart at the fresh cut.
