Stem Woodworking Toy- good purchase
This is an educational toy- a birthday present for a friend’s ten year old son. We have not given it to him yet, however, he loves to build things and his mother assures us that he will love this. It was a great value for the money.

EASY IF PATIENTLY DONE
Not sure why listed at 8-10 years old. My 4 and 5 years old grandsons did the assembly just fine with me sitting with them. The wood should be sanded lightly with 220 or higher grit before assembly for better results. Simple project. Poor quality paints, but price reflects that.

Fun and Smart
This is our second version of the STEM kits. Our 11 year old boy likes building and figuring out how things work. We like the STEM kits are lower cost and more interactive for him then lego kits. Once built, they actually 'do' something and that adds play value. I like that the builds are in separate zippered pouches so he builds one and plays with it and I'll tuck the other projects away for different days. Or you can easily spread them out between children. They take him under about a half hour to build each kit. But some may even enjoy painting the wood to personalize the build.

Interesting kit for kids to put together
I bought this stem kit for my two grandchildren ages eight and ten. I thought they would really enjoy it since they both like building things. It came very well packaged and consisted of four different projects. Everything was included in each bag and they seemed pretty well-made. The boys enjoyed building these at first, but then they got frustrated. It was a little difficult taking the pieces apart. They found the screws were very small and sometimes the pieces did not fit together easily. I think the idea of the kits is very good but honestly, I found them to be a little difficult for these two boys ages eight and 10. I ended up finishing the projects and it wasn’t easy for me either.Still, the concept is good and the kids seem well-made.

Me and my 7 year old daughter love doing these together. I think it will be a year or 2 before she could do one on her own though.
