Good pole bean arch
This is a reasonably priced arch for what you get. I've had it outside in the garden for one season, so I can't yet speak to longevity or how it holds up against winter. It's fairly sturdy, but not so heavy that you can't lift it. I have no upper arm strength, and I managed to put it up and take it down by myself. I did this with a shoulder injury and with the arch elevated 2ft off the ground in a raised bed. Taking it down was a bit more difficult than putting it up. The arch itself may have become misaligned over the season, making separating the two side pieces difficult. Or it may have been because I couldn't rotate one of my shoulders. I will update this review in the spring when I put the arch back up and let you know if it's misaligned.I put this arch between two of my raised garden beds and grew pole beans on it. Because the soil in the beds is loose and I didn't want to risk knocking the arch over, I anchored the arch to the soil using four 4ft tall steel garden stakes. I just slid the stakes up the four posts at the bottom and sank the whole thing into the soil. The horizontal bar that runs across the bottoms of each side of the arch rested on top of the soil. If you put this arch directly into the ground, the existing posts at the base are likely enough. If your soil is loose, you plan to leave the arch up for a long time, or you have children that might decide to climb it or run into it, you should probably anchor it.

Beautiful and easily assembled
I finally got around to putting this up because honestly I expected it to be difficult. This took me less than 30 minutes to assemble and put in place in my back yard. The only tool you need is a screw driver and in my case because I'm short, a step ladder for the top. It's very sturdy and I expect to have it for many years to come.

Easy to put together, sturdy, but does rust.
I started out with one of these and now have four - they are beyond easy to put together, light enough for one person to move - although getting the balance is the hard part - there is enough leg to go into the ground and a nice design for plants to grow up - I am growing climbing roses and Clementi's.I have a pole across the top of one of them with the hummingbird feeder across and they seem to enjoy being away from the other feeders and perching on top of the arch watching surroundings.I have not had them through a winter yet so time will tell, but I did move one and all rust water poured out of it.

Perfect For Narrow Walkway
My hubby purchased this arch for me for Mother's Day. I wanted an arch to be placed at entry of narrow pathway between privacy fence and house. It is perfect. I wanted something tall enough for my 6'6" hubby to be able to pass under without ducking but narrow enough fit between climbing roses. I am a 44 year old woman and was able to assemble and anchor this arch with no problems. It is very lightweight and easy to assemble without instructions. There are only six holes for screws and washers at the top. The rest of arch is constructed by insertion of large pieces into the other. This arbor is very light weight and tall and WILL need to be anchored. The posts are hollow and I used 1/2" x 2' rebar to anchor into ground. Rebar is readily avail. at any hardware store and is very inexpensive. Just drive the rebar (steel bars) into the ground about a foot with a hammer. Then place each leg over the above ground remaining foot of rebar. The arch is flanked by very tall climbing roses. 'Pinky' and 'New Dawn' is planted on one side, the other side by 'Iceberg'. I would recommend a very tall climber with this arch if you want it topped with roses. I don't think the 8'-10' climbers would give the top of this arch anything but spotty coverage at best. This was a very good value overall.

Glad I ended up getting it
I was depending on whether or not to get this and even tried to cancel it after I had ordered it but they shipped it already. Glad I ended up getting it. Fits just right for the gate to the dog run. Wanted something to hide the dogs bathroom and this will hopefully do the job once the Star Jasmine grows in. Easy to put together. Was kind of unstable and off kilter until it was wired to the existing fence. Kind of pricey for what it is but nice for the area.

Beautiful addition to our garden
We bought this for our son’s wedding at our home. It worked perfectly, and I draped it with white, gauzy fabric for the ceremony. Later, I planted hops vines, which grew over it. I LOVE this arbor! I am glad I found it, and will be ordering a second one for another spot in our yard.

Shiny arch
I had a lovely trumpet vine growing up an oak tree. The tree succumbed to disease and I was left with my vine lying on the ground. An arch seemed the perfect solution to keep my vine blooming. This does support the large vine. It isn't thick but it is bushy. The arch has a shiny coating which frankly does not look as rich as another one I purchased with a matte finish. I would not have a very strong vine growing on this such as wisteria, but for lighter weight ones, it seems to be adequate. My 13 year old grandson put it together, so it was not that complicated. It is lightweight yet went into the ground solidly without needing extra supports; although I had to drill a hole in one of the former tree's roots. The listing claims you get a ground hole-maker to provide for easy fitting. There was none in our box.The directions were simple and the arch serves its purpose.

Was it meant to be on a slant?
nice weight and attractive arbour. Oddly, the angles are not 90 degrees, it is all on a slight slant. I put it up anywayas it would be hard to return. It is used as an entryway on a deck and put up in such a way as to minimize the slant.
