Documentary profiling fashion designers Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. Review: Buy this DVD. - When I purchased this, I was expecting a documentary of Marc Jacobs in board meetings with Bernard Arnault, all narrated by a monotone, faceless fashion insider. I was so wrong. The film travels with Marc behind the scenes of his own label in the US, and then across the pond to LVMH's corporate offices, where he brings his own attitude, creative energy, and down to earth spirit. It portrays him as a true artist who is very driven, self-critical, and in tune with multiple industries. Even the commentary is interesting, funny, and unexpectedly objective. Are there more films like these?! Any fan of fashion needs this in his or her DVD collection. [...] Review: Amazing Fashion Documentary - This documentary shows a very important designer and his work habits. Very good if you love fashion and are curious about the background work for a fashion show.

The Good ... The Bad ... The Ugly ....! ! !
The name Marc Jacobs has been on my radar since the 1990's ..when he duked it out with every possible competitor since he arrived on the fashion lenses, stages and press . I recall at the time his only threats were 1.) Issac Mizrahi 2.)Todd Oldham 3.)Byron Lars ..just name a few from his generation . I think he really catapulted when he sold his soul like the late Alexander McQueen did for GUCCI.... to LVMH ... I suspected as much that his brilliance had to with ...hmmmm as they say .."BORROWING" from other's in pursuit to make his CREATIONS ... attractive to buyer's and the press.. Fashion designer's always "Rip-off" like major recording artists do ...when serving up "CREATIONS" to their glittering fans ...! Well I believe that I owe ..the other forgotten "Fashion stars" an apology for the fact that I didn't support their brands as much as I should have ...back in the 1990's. Then again this is a ..BUSINESS ..and like they say "It's for every man ...but Himself"... So he just happened to out-wit his competitor's ..like the Mongoose did to the Cobra ... Cheers ..Mr.Jacobs..!

Funny and informative
The documentary is interesting to the point that shows the creative proccess of Marc Jacobs in a creative and funny way. What I like most about it is how it shows the ecxentricity of this designer and the impact of his fashion around the world.

Superficial, not a documentary
This is more like a comercial for LV. Not a documentary. I bet Marc Jacobs is more interesting and smarter than he is portrayed here.

Keine Biographie !!! Vorbereitung zu Modenschauen und Ideenfindung Lustig gemacht und sehr interressant, die DVD ist auf jeden Fall keine Fehlinvestition. (muss mir den Film gleich nochmal anschaun ^^)

I discovered this documentary on youtube and was completely hooked, but it was in parts so got quite frustrating to watch the whole thing that way. When I found it on Amazon i ordered it straight away. This is a documentary that anyone who is creative and artistic would enjoy, it lets you see inside the design process of the Marc Jacobs label and Louis Vuitton for which he is creative director. You see where he gets inspiration from, you see his staff;including pattern cutters, seamstresses and shoe makers, and soooo much more. Its funny, interesting and exciting, looking behind the glitz and glamour of the industry and showing the creation of collections from the initial ideas to the finished product. LOVE IT.
