Excellent
I needed a tool to re-upholster and old chair. It was hard wood and the manual staple guns did not work. This tool is excellent. It worked like a charm.

Lasts only so long ...
I had this stapler for about 2 years. Worked great at first but over time it started driving staples more and more sporadically. I had to "dry" staple a few times before it would start to actually drive the first staple. (Machine would make noises, but no staples were driven.) I tried several internet recommended solutions (since the Ryobi troubleshooting guide for the P360 is basically useless), like oiling the driver and the driver track ... NO avail. At the end I took it apart and found out that the staple driver blade would not even advance (wouldn't shoot) with ZERO load / resistance on it. Of course ALL of this started to happen as soon as the warranty expired. I like Ryobi tools in general and have a whole collection of them. However, their P360 stapler is by far the "worst" of the lot. Maybe they have upgraded their internal systems by now, but I am not holding my breath. It is kind of amazing how many "refurbished" P360s are being offered for sale!Bottom line: You will probably get two years of work out of the unit. However, realize that the performance of the tool starts to decline much earlier with intermittent driven staples which gets worse over time. At the end you will have to try to staple up to 50 times with the machine making noises until a staple finally will fires ... and I don't have this much time to do a job! So my P360 is being "retired"!

Good grip
Very well suited for light "nailing" with staples providing better grip than brads in the sorts of applications I have most.
