Works great

After a very close call with a lightning strike I got a pair of these. They push in with a very snug fit to back of radio, meter, tuner. Might want to check and make sure fit is snug every so often. I got these so when I hear thunder I can turn off radios and pull the coax out quickly until the threat has passed. I only got them today but other HAMS I have talked to recommended them. My only complaint is the shipping cost.

I bought 4 of these for use inside my "shack" (amateur radio station) to make it easier to connect & disconnect my antenna lines during maintenance, antenna testing, bad weather, etc.These seem to be fairly well-made, and both the threaded and "friction" connection ends fit tightly.I haven't noticed any change in SWR or loss of signal quality during contacts, but that's a completely subjective observation, as I haven't run before & after tests yet.I will probably buy a few more to have on-hand, and a couple for my go-kit.

These quick-disconnect adapters are perfect. I hate having to unscrew PL-259's to my radio when switching antennas on different runs of feed line. This makes the job effortless. All I do is pull on the coax and it disconnects from the radio, then I can just take another feed line and just push it onto the radio's antenna connector. It's quick and easy. I have no issues running anything from 5 watts up to 500 watts through these adapters. I've noticed no loss either. They shipped fast, and the quality is very high. I would buy from dave's hobby shop again.

I bought two to try and being happy with the quality I bought two more. I like that they are more compact than some I bought a few years ago.

The shipping costs are more expensive than the adapter, otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. The connector itself is very sturdy and should last many years of indoor use. It is not suitable for outdoor connections. No problems at 100W across amateur bands.

I wanted an easy way to physically connect and disconnect my antenna feed line coming into to my radio. I did not want to use a switch since that would still have a physical path for high static energy to harm radio while not in use. And this connector works great and not causing any feed line issues I can detect. When not using the radio, I simply 'pull the plug' on the feed line.
