This is good and strong

The full tang design of this cleaver helps A LOT when using it to chop through foods, even those with bones. This cleaver feels good and balanced in the hand, and it's full tang design greatly increases its sturdiness and strength. The bladed edge is quite sharp and with the weight with the cleaver it makes chopping through veggies and meats easy. I've used this cleaver for carving up a whole chicken, mainly for chopping through it to separate the thigh from the body with one clean cut and then using another knife for carving the rest of the chicken. It definitely does make the carving process a lot easier when I make roast chicken dinners. It does a nice job for cubing up pork loins/shoulders for pozole, or any type of meat for soup. Overall, this cleaver is strong and sturdy, chops through veggies and meats easily. It's became one of my most used items when it comes to making home cooked dinners, especially for roast chicken dinner and for soups, since this is the only knife that I need to prepare the dinner.

This 6" high carbon stainless steel cleaver Knife by Martha Stewart is a surprisingly nice knife especially considering the very low price point. It handles well, is very sharp and is made like a knife priced many times the price of this fine knife. A great value! I needed a new heavy duty knife for the meats/bones when cooking and this knife did not disappoint. It is a well built and heavy duty knife. The handle is comfortable and provides a good grip to tackle those bone areas and meats. At the price point, this is a great value given its performance that I would recommend

This is a solid 6 inch knife that does its job beautifully. It cuts the meat and hard to cut vegetables easily. It is very sharp, so treat the blade with care so that your don't hurt your fingers. Also advisable to clean it carefully. It has a nice weight to it and really made well. The price point is good and highly recommended.

The last time I tried to separate chicken wings, I realized I did not have a knife sharp enough to do it. I thought to get a high-quality cleaver would be out of my budget, so I purchased this one by Martha Stewart. It works perfectly! I was so impressed with its sharpness and cutting power for a knife that is such a reasonable price. The knife is well-balanced and fits comfortably in my hand, chopping easily through chicken skin and small bones. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this to anyone who doesn't need a cleaver on a daily basis, but just every once in awhile.
