Amazing shelter, durable, effective! MUST have for stray cats - cat lovers alike!
I brought this for the strays in the area of my city since I have back driveway area where I noticed them passing by. I expected it to bring maybe one cat to the yard, Nooo sir! I now proudly shelter at least five different city strays in the area. They come by to rest/warm in rotation during the night and in a group during the day! I get to see notifications on my security camera all the time of all the daily activities these cats get up to. I am loving the effect this shelter has had! Amazing! As far as the shelter itself, It was easy to assemble, and VERY durable, as the winter storms on the east coast just recently has proven. The shelter withstood it all! It definitely keeps them warm and heated. I'm not sure the cats like the door covers much as they still use it perfectly well. I love the miniature house shape & skylight in the roof. Overall this thing is a saving grace for the strays in my area this winter & has been a source of entertainment for me as I get to see all the cat activities it brings!

Lightweight but effective cat house
Another fine shelter for strays. It's lightweight but warm. It looks like it would blow away but seems to tolerate winds on my front patio. Putting it together was simple. Everything is attached with velcro. One of my cats had to go outside to inspect it and I found him all curled up in there and he's about 18 pounds so it's plenty big enough for a big cat. I thought it would be flimsy but is suprisingly sturdy. It's going to serve at least one stray that comes to me every day for food. It has two doors. One is a "screen" mesh, that won't keep out weather. The other is covered by a plastic flap. I will probably try to create a plastic flap for the mesh door before it begins to get really cold. Must be near a power source if you're using the heating pad. I think it's a good deal for the price.

If you're considering it, get it!
I love this thing. When I tell you I looked at DOZENS of cat houses/shelters for the ferals I look after, I mean I looked at an obscene number of houses. It was driving me insane going back and forth on which ones would be best. Some were too small, some were ugly, some weren't weatherproof, and on and on. Finally, desperate at 11.30pm, I went with this one on a whim because there was cold front coming in and I needed something the next day, and they were having a sale (yay!) It arrived on time, perfectly packaged, everything looked great, and it was so easy to assemble! My favorite thing about this are: 1) NO FIBERGLASS BARS. So many other products had fiberglass frames and I couldn't fathom the idea of putting that anywhere near the cats. 2) It's Insulated. No straw mess to deal with, and the pads it comes with are great. It will definitely provide a comfortable base for them. 3) SIZE!! It's big enough for 2-4 cats (depending on age, weight and size), so the two black siblings will be comfortable if they sleep together and the single grey baby will have plenty of space if the others don't share. (But I'm still gonna get another one, just in case). The legs are solid and will do a great job keeping the rain from getting in come November, but just to be safe, I will make a raised platform so they have a little more sense of security from predators and water. Special notes: Yes, I got the heated one and it came with the electric pad and instructions, but I did not use it. I bought a separate, self-heating pad instead because of how far from the outlet this would be. I can't speak to snow (it doesn't snow here), but I'm the sprinklers went off the night I put it out and everything stayed dry, so I'm hoping there will be no problems come winter. I haven't seen any ferals in it yet (it's been like 2 days since I put it out), but one of them has definitely been sniffing around and someone ate the treats inside. I'll update once the temperatures get lower, but so far, 10/10

Does the job!
Easy to assemble (once you read the instructions). Nice and warm inside. It would hold a cat of about 15 to 18 lbs but probably not anything bigger without the cat feeling claustrophobic. I like the clear flaps that allow viewing but hold in the heat.

Easy to put together and easy to clean
The heating pad for this house works well. Not too hot and only used when below freezing weather occurs. The cats seem to feel very comfortable in it and it has a sky light so you can peak in to see if anything is in it. Top of house is a strong velcro and makes it easy to clean the inside.

Keeps him warm when he refuses to come inside. Big win!
Got this to replace the one we had because the pad in it stopped heating. THIS ONE is amazing, my indoor/outdoor cat loves this one. He never uses the other one, it's smaller and not as good quality as this one. It's got plenty of space for him to stretch out and Lord over the strays that pass by. We call this his bougie house because it's so nice, the little sun roof was a nice touch too! It adds to the overall look of this house. I will definitely be getting another one of these when we need it. I think I'm gonna get another one before this coming winter, Ohio gets nasty cold, especially in January and February. Like this uear, winter doesn't want to leave so it's still pretty chilly at night. He refuses to stay inside at night, he cries until we let him out and I cannot tolerate thinking of him being cold so we got this. I really love this and he actually uses it a lot. He is my only outdoor cat, we rescued him when his old owner moved and left him behind so he was already used to being indoor/outdoor. This is perfect for all involved, get your babies one today! They will thank you for it.

Stray never used it
I bought this for a stray who never once used it. Actually i think there were two but one was more skittish and i rarely saw him. It is nice, it is sturdy I think but hard to tell since it was never used. It gets warmish, not hot. Definitely warmer than 30's we have had at night. He sleeps a couple feet away. I even tried putting food in it to attract him. I was looking forward to seeing the stray comfortable like in the review pictures but sadly it never happened.

Great Outdoor Cat House — Cats Loved It Right Away
I bought the Texsens Heated Cat House for outdoor/feral cats, and overall I’m really happy with it. Pros: Mostly easy to set up Very sturdy and weatherproof Cats immediately liked it Spacious — three cats managed to squeeze in at once 😂 Cats have no problem going in and out Strong enough for cats to jump and sit on top Heating works well once assembled Uses a constant 29W of power, which is good to know if you’re monitoring electricity usage Cons: The instructions could definitely be clearer The manual didn’t explain layer order very well — I wasn’t sure whether the cooling mat padding should go under the heating pad (that’s how I ended up doing it) Threading the corded plug through the hole from the inside was very difficult — I honestly thought I was going to break the plug Once you get past the setup hiccups, it works great. The cats are comfortable, use it constantly, and seem totally at ease inside. Despite the confusing manual, I’d still recommend this shelter if you’re looking for a warm, roomy outdoor option for stray or feral cats.
