Q: Is Paochung tea the same as green tea?

No, though their outlooks are similar. Paochung is oolong tea and has way much strong floral notes & tasted mild and sweet comparing with green teas.

Q: What are differences between Baozhong and round-shaped oolongs in terms of the tastes?

Baozhong has much stronger floral notes, and its scents can be released paidly right after brewing; on the other hand, round-shaped oolong can be brewed for few more times with stably lasting tastes, and aftertastes are meandering.

Q: What's the way to brew Bao Zhoong oolong tea?

We suggest use 100°C to brew all oolong teas to release all fragrant and sweet substances completely. (Pls be very careful of hot water!!)

Q: Why It's said not to use too high temperature to brew oolong?

Lower temperature can cover the shortages of a tea by reducing its astringency and other problems. In tea competitions in Taiwan, we use 100℃ for 5mins with a lid on utensil to release all substances to judge the real performance.

Q: What are hints to choose oolong teas?

Freshness of the tea, clearness of the liquor and low astringency. As long as these 3 requirements are met, the tea itself would be quite alright!
