Does as it should

I need a walking stick after a bad accident four years ago has left me with a weak ankle and I have found the sticks with these shaped handles are the most comfortable to use for long periods of time. I need to protect my right leg so I use my walking stick on the left hand side, but I have also bought the matching right hand stick in case at some future date I need to use two sticks as I get older and frailer. These sticks are attractive and smart and easy to adjust to the correct height and by feeling happier about the design as well as the functionality it has become an accessory for me which makes me feel better about using an aid. The pattern I chose could be for men or women. It has taken me a long time to come to terms with using a stick especially as I am only 68 and feel it should not be necessary. However sadly it is, but I did not want an 'old persons' stick or a pattern that looked old fashioned or 'twee' and this was perfect. I hope to get many years use out of it although I realise that the rubber tip will wear down and have to be replaced from time to time.

An elegant little walking aid with ergonomic handle for easy grip for user, especially those who suffer the pain of arthritis.I baulk however at the sheer stupidity, in my opinion, of having the retaining stud ( for adjusting the length )only protruding from one side instead of fully supporting the instrument from BOTH sides.It would be a lot stronger and obviously sturdier if this stud was allowed to protrude from both sides.For the obvious health and safety concerns, particularly for buyers of such assistance devices, this should be glaringly obvious.On a lighter note, please cease using the white sticky labels that are so difficult to peel off the stick, and why don't you offer a wider range of colours?We who use a stick aren't all long-faced moaners, so brighter more cheerful hues would be appreciated.Anyway folks, I hope this helped.I can only hope the device supports me fully and that I don't end up with it snapping and sending me crashing into an unsuspecting passer-by.Cheers.

This walking stick is 1st class, as the handle is the shape of your palm. You can get right or left hand sticks. Which you can grip, to. They are so much better than an ordinary stick. Safer and stronger
