Gaahleri Airbrush Kit, Ambition Series GTS-06, Airbrush & Air Compressor with Air Control

I couldn’t help myself. I have a small TCP Global dual chamber air pump, and the tiny mobile, rechargeable air brush kit. But this one was a great compromise, The true, dual chamber airbrush pump is exactly as you’d expect - accurate and can run forever, but bulky. You can lug it around the house, but a bit of a chore and can nick furniture. Over $100 and no airbrush. The rechargeable mobile is extremely portable, but the airbrush has a little grit to the trigger. The single pressure setting I measured was 14psi. Nothing close to its rated output. Worked well enough for me, but I use very thin paints. A single pressure can limit the paints you can use, or the level of coverage detail you want. When you consider this being a few dollars more, it’s the good compromise. NIOSH sound ratings was about 65db. Taking a pressure gauge to the pump, it’s pretty accurate. Most settings were either dead on, or +1 psi max. The least accurate was at the bottom 15psi setting, it’d constantly hit 17psi. Otherwise, pretty happy. I like its portability, and the adjustable pressures an I can throw different airbrushes at it for some detail or coverage work with a larger airbrush. In regards to noise, it’s not loud, but the loudest of the three - likely because it’s in a plastic box. The full, metal compressor is quieter due to the heavy metal chassis and makes a soothing purr. The small rechargeable, portable compressor is quieter due as well, likely because it’s completely sealed, but as you’ve likely read, can have overheating problems on extended use. This compressor is quiet enough that no one minds it on, but just loud enough I’m asked to turn it off if someone’s watching TV. I LOVE the dual airbrush connections, very handy. I don’t like the airbrush holsters. Feels like they’re made for lefties. Otherwise you want to rotate the box 90 degrees counter clockwise, which also makes a lot more sense with the button layout. Minor complaints, but a really good starter set all around. The airbrush works well for general miniature work, and the engagement is smooth. And if you grow your airbrush toolset or paint brands, this compressor will be ready for it too. The portability makes it so easy to quickly zenithal or highlight In your room, full blown prime in the garage/outside or bring it to a friend’s house.

This compressor is outstanding. It’s quiet, it’s easy to set up and use, it’s small, and it has a variety of pressures that work for me. The airbrush is nothing fancy but good quality and it works well. This is not a “workhorse” compressor but it’s ideal for travel use or if you have limited space. And you won’t find a better value - this is not an expensive setup.

Amazing that this excellent bundle is budget priced! The compressor is all it’s cracked up to be. Powerful. Versatile. Quiet. The airbrush, although not the best in the Gaahleri line, performs well. I also bought a Gaahleri Ghad-39 airbrush which performs as well as any high end model.

Surprisingly nice airbrush. Smooth airflow. Relatively quiet compressor. Great value for the money. I would highly recommend it.

First the compressor, it works super well, everything fits, no air leaks, the pressure control is intuitive, and it has enough power for mini painting. As for the airbrush, it's very easy to use, the adjustment is easy to do, and it's easy to clean as well, although, be careful, the nozzle is VERY easy to lose because it's tiny and not screwed, which may cause you losing it, also, there's videos on youtube on how to use the kit and clean the airbrush, I highly recommend you watch those as well as reading the manual, you'll enjoy the process a lot more if you know what you are doing! The gripes: It's going to be difficult finding parts to repair the airbrush because it looks like they are out of stock here on Amazon (as for the time I'm writing this review), and on their website which is a shame, the airbrush is super cool but I will have to be super extra careful with it or I'll lose it forever. It would have been cool to have a couple of extras in the package, just to be nice, this is meant to be a starter kit, and breaking stuff is part of learning... anyway, I hope I don't kill it soon!

Bought this for airbrushing on miniatures. So far I’ve sprayed both paint and primer through it. It works well for these small jobs. The compressor is very quit, I love that I can now work at my hobby desk and not have to hear my giant loud compressor scare the crap out of me every time it kicks on.

As good as it gets at this price point. Very easy to setup and use and comes with a couple of nice accessories. The compressor is fantastic, good pressure with no leakages, quiet, very portable and light. The airbrush is pretty good too, it's clearly a budget airbrush but it's solid.

This is my very first airbrush, and I couldn’t be happier with the Gaahleri Ambition GTS-06 kit. I’ve been using it since April, and it’s been an amazing experience from the start. En mycket kompakt och relativt väldigt tyst kompressor. Trots sin ringa storlek är den kapabel till att hålla ett bra och konstant tryck över lång användning.

Ich bin Amateur in Airbrushen. Mein Kumpel hat mir dieses Gerät empfohlen der schon lange und intensiv Miniaturen und Modelle bemalt. Ich habe damit auch 3D kunstoff Modelle bemalt. Der Kompressor ist leise und baut einen gleichbleibenden Druck auf. Er ist in 3 Stufen einzustellen ganz nach Bedarf. Die Pistole liegt gut in der Hand und ist auch leicht und gut zu reinigen. Das ganze macht einen sehr Hochwertigen Eindruck. Verchromte pistole. Kompressor aus robusten Kunsstoff aber wertige Optik. Ich denke ich habe jetzt knapp 30 oder 40 h damit gearbeitet und bin gut zufrieden. Und wie gesagt ich bin Einsteiger ohne jegliche Vorkenntnisse.

El primero que me llegó no funcionaba, aparentemente era fallo del transformador de corriente ya que no se iluminaba la luz de funcionamiento. Devolución a Amazon y devolución del dinero sin problema. El segundo recibido sin ningún problema, es pequeño, cumple sin problema con su cometido y bastante más silencioso que un compresor que tengo de calderin. Ideal si lo tienes que transportar o no dispones de mucho sitio. Viene acompañado de un aerógrafo sencillo.
