Quality and size
If you want nice riding pants go buy NBT. These are nice and breathable but they are bulky. They are good quality and fit the price. I had trouble getting them into my boots.

Very nice riding pants with a waterproof liner for cold, order a size up.
Nice set of well made riding pants with knee pads, and a liner for colder weather that is also warped. The material is thick and durable with good craftsmanship in the sewing. They do have a couple of pockets, and the zipper is heavy duty. I ordered these according to the size chart, and they are a little on the small side, so I would prefer one size up from whatever the chart says you should take. Fortunately I really don't need the liners, I have other riding pants for cold weather. The pants actually fit great without the liner in them, and look pretty good on me. I put a little folded up a short peice of the thin flexible foam that comes in packages for padding, like around electronics, and put a wrap of duct tape around them to keep them folded. I then put these into the knee pockets to raise the kneepads up an inch or so, and that was enough to put the knee pads at the right height. These are now perfect for my use, and will be good protection. I think that if you order the size that will fit you these are a really good bang for the buck.
