Plays both cassettes and CDs perfectly! Bass is kind of weak, but there’s probably a workaround with an aux cable and an external speaker. Best price I’ve seen for an old media player! Got to introduce my kiddo to Weird Al Yankovic’s “Even Worse” exactly how we used to hear it on road trips, and that feels like a gold medal in and of itself!

Very nice unit with a cassette deck.

If I could give this unit no stars, I would. It lasted five months before the CD stopped working. I returned it to Memorex, and the shipping, which the warranty didn't cover, cost half the price of the unit. It's a cheaply made unit, with buttons that are hard to figure out and work. I regret this purchase, and wish that I had gone with a slightly more expensive but higher quality product. It's a shame, since Memorex used to signify quality

I am using this CD player and radio daily, mostly as a CD player. I have not used the tape cassette yet because I could not hear the old tapes (way too old). But the CD player plays all my old CDs and has gotten me working out again!

I was really excited to find a stereo that had both a CD player and a cassette deck in one—I needed it for some old school homeschool materials I’ve been using with my kids. I chose the red version, which is a nice bold color and looked great out of the box. But after using it, I ran into a few issues that honestly made this a frustrating purchase. First off, the cassette controls are a headache. The play/rewind/fast forward buttons are not only hard to see (especially for those with vision issues—you’ll definitely need a flashlight), but the forward and backward buttons are actually switched. At first, I thought my tape was damaged or not playing correctly, but nope—the buttons just don’t do what they say. That’s a major design flaw, especially since I’m using this with small children who are new to cassette players. I now have to label the buttons myself with tape, which is honestly ridiculous. The CD player works fine so far, no complaints there. I haven’t used the AM/FM radio, but it’s nice that it’s included. There’s also a headphone jack, which I appreciate—but it’s inconveniently located on the back instead of the front, which makes it awkward for everyday use. The power mode switch (to choose between tape, CD, or radio) is also in the back, and the tiny lettering is tough to read. I almost boxed this up and returned it, but I’m knee-deep in homeschooling and just don’t have the time or energy. Still, I’m taking off major stars for the cassette button issue—that’s not something that should be overlooked in quality control. Bottom line: I was trying to save a few bucks, but I regret not spending a little more on a better brand. If ease of use, clarity, and proper functionality matter to you (especially for kids), I recommend looking elsewhere.

The only issue I have with it is that it sounds muffled, does not come across clearly on CD, tape, or AM/FM radio. I usually buy these every couple of years, and the quality of this one has gone down. I do not believe I will buy it again, and I am saddened by that.

Broken after 10 months..

There is no headphone jack. It takes forever to arrive and I have to send it back because of no headphone jack I have to pay return delivery also no mention of that not happy don't buy
