Perfect Little Machine
I used this machine to crush rock samples from 7-9 on the Moh's scale. Machine arrived perfectly calibrated to 120 mesh, such that 80% of my crushed sample was at or slightly above 120 mesh (top sieve was 80 mesh on shaker). With some minor screw adjustments I was able to dial the 80% to 80 mesh which was exactly what I needed. On harder material there is some metal shredding that ends up in the finished product, but this is expected at 9 on the Moh's scale with aluminum. The shredding was minimal after the first use. The outer chamber and door are aluminum, the rotor driving the 4 steel, replaceable blades is aluminum as well. Motor appears to be solid and I have run the unit for 15-20 minutes at a time, 12 times without any issues. Bottom screen which contributes to final mesh size is replaceable as well. Motor is single speed on/off. Great little machine that does the job of machines 20x this price! I am buying another right now...

This grinder is small, but it works well.
We use this grinder for soil samples and plant grinding. In our limited use, it does as expected, and the manufacturer has been helpful. The grinder is smaller (maybe 25 lbs total weight) than I expected, although this is from my experience with other soil grinders and not from misleading advertising. Overall, we are tentatively happy with our purchase.
