The Breakdown: Rock-Solid CarPlay Connectivity: Many USB-C cables are great for charging but terrible for data transfer in a car environment. This Anker cable provides a stable, high-speed data link. I haven't experienced a single "Communication Error" or lag since switching to this. The "3-Foot" Sweet Spot: This is the ideal length for a car. It’s long enough to let you pick up your phone to change a song at a red light, but short enough that you don't have two feet of extra cable tangled around your gear shifter or cup holders. Upcycled Braiding: The texture of this cable is excellent. It’s a "bio-braided" nylon that feels premium and, more importantly, is resistant to the heat of a car interior. It doesn't get stiff in the winter or "sticky" in the summer. Compatibility: Even though I use it for my iPhone, it works perfectly for fast-charging my Samsung Note20 and other USB-C devices. It’s a great "universal" cord to have in the passenger seat. Pros: Reinforced Stress Points: The neck of the cable (where it usually frays) is reinforced with a thick rubber housing. It feels like it can handle being bent 90 degrees in a tight center console storage bin. Clean Aesthetic: The White color looks sharp and is easy to find in a dark car interior at night. Tangle-Free: The braiding is stiff enough that it doesn't knot up on itself, even if you throw it in the glovebox. Cons: USB-A to USB-C: Make sure your car actually has a USB-A (the classic rectangular) port. Many newer 2024/2025 vehicles are moving to USB-C ports only. If your car is newer, you might need the USB-C to USB-C version. White Shows Dirt: While the white looks great, if you're eating fries or have dirty hands from work, the braided fabric will eventually show some smudges.

This cord is amazing, very smooth and durable. I’m using it for my car and connection to CarPlay and so far not connection issues or charging issues. Cord is USB A to USB C, compatible with my car output and iPhone input.

Used this specifically for CarPlay in my car and it's been reliable every single time — plug it in, CarPlay connects within 3 seconds, no negotiating. The braided cable feels durable and doesn't kink or fray at the ends the way cheaper cables do after a few months of being coiled under the seat. The 3-foot length is the sweet spot for in-car use — long enough to reach from the center console to the dash mount without slack everywhere. Anker's build quality is consistently better than generic options and this is no exception. LED indicator when charging is a useful touch. Had it about 4 months now with daily use and no issues. Wouldn't overthink this one — just buy it.

I don't use this for car play. I use it to connect my X-Box controller to my pc. The length is perfect for it and the cable feels very high quality and feels like it will last a good while. At the price, very worth it.

I have a 2018 Nissan Murano, so it was made before the “C charger”. This attachment works for Apple car play, but you have to turn off your blue tooth on your phone before you turn on your car otherwise it may not work.

My older car only has USB-A ports. My new iPhone is USB-C. To connect my phone for Apple CarPlay, I could use an adapter or use a purpose built cable. I decided on a new cable. This one worked immediately and well. Apple devices are often finicky about cable so this was good news. The cable is well made and it appears it will be long-lasting.
