Love it
so many watches to choose from. it fit my price range, it's good looking, and not so too chunky (I 'm fit but slim, so i look stupid with a watch made for someone built like a tank) and I am completely satisfied with this watch. I confess I have not yet bothered to set it up as a mooney-wavey-sequencing device as I can't see the use for me. it's rugged - i take it mountain biking, open water swimming, running, cycle to work in all weather etc and it's as good as the day I got it (about 3 months ago).love the look of having the hands as well as the digital time. backlight is bright enough. the basic setup was easy enough. stopwatch, world time, alarm etc are all there and dead straight forward. Love this watch.

Chunky but good
It's a bit chunkier and heavier than I expected, but still perfectly wearable. The compass decoration round the edge is not on a bezel, so it doesn't rotate which was a bit disappointing. Apart from that, it's a pretty decent watch and seems to hold the time well - since I set it to the atomic clock it hasn't varied from it after a couple of weeks. The analogue clock syncs to the digital clock seconds automatically, so they always read the same time. One tricky point was calculating the lunitidal interval. After some research online I discovered that it is the time between when the moon is highest in the sky and when the next high tide occurs. This is needed for setting the tide information on the watch. You should be able to find the moon rise and moon set times for your location online. The moon should be at its highest point at the mid point between these times. Subtract this time from the first high tide that occurs after it and that's your lunitidal interval.

Great Watch
I bought this to replace the exact same model that I have owned for four years or so.I think it is a great watch and does everything I want a watch to do. The main face gives you all the information you might need at a glance. I keep the digital display in 24hour mode to save me having convert in my head. It also shows the date and day which is always handy and above the date is the moon phase which I find particularly useful as I am an amateur astronomer. It also shows the tide state which I very rarely use as I live in the midlands, about as far away from the sea as you can get! I have used it on holiday though and you need to enter in your latitude and a factor that tells it the lag between the full moon and high tide but this was instantly available on the internet and very easy to enter. In addition there is a countdown timer which is handy for eggs and Pot Noodles! Three alarms, which I use all the time, and a stopwatch if you need it. There is also a dual time facility which is handy when abroad. It is very waterproof and I have tested this on many occasions and on top of all that it looks great. As I say I have bought this to replace the same model and the only reason I am replacing it is the fact that I wear it all the time and the old one is now scratched to death.Over all, brilliant. I love it.

Some good functions but drawbacks too
I some ways this watch is disappointing. The dial is easily readable only in bright light and the built-in light (despite warnings that using it drains the battery) is too faint to be of use except in pitch darkness. The settings are complex but can be worked out in half-an-hour or so, though setting the tide graph is a challenge. Not because entering the data itself is difficult but because it's not easy to find the lunitidal interval for a particular coast and in the UK these vary greatly between different stretches of coastline. In the end I used a tide chart and adjusted the lunitidal interval setting until the watch corresponded to the graph. A few weeks later this still seems to be accurate. The dual time is awkward to set (you lose the tidal information) and is really intended to enable switching between standard and daylight saving times - but you're more likely simply to adjust the main time. The 'alarm' is so quiet as to be useless. But the watch is light to wear and, for its price, has a large number of functions. It appearance is OK. So in those senses it's probably good value.

Functional and solid
I bought this mainly for the tide graph, as the tide is an important part of walks for myself and my dog. It took a bit of research to get the settings and program the watch, but once done it has been pretty accurate, and allows me to predict the tides enough to avoid getting cut off by the sea. The moon phase is a bit odd as it fills in the parts of the moon in darkness not the part on view, but seems to work OK. The main complaint I have is a part of the top LCD display is not visible for some time due to the hands obscuring it. It has been well tested in water and is still OK. The strap has had complaints but doesn't seem too bad and is perfectly comfortable. Will have to wait to find out how durable it is.

Works and is waterproof for recreational scuba but possibly the worst watch to set that Casio have ever designed.
I bought this watch for recreational scuba diving in the Red Sea. In the event I only went down to around 20m and the watch worked fine - no leak. But I just can't understand how after all these years designing watches Casio can produce something with as poor a set-up procedure as this. Don't buy - I'm sure you can find something better.

Excellent value analogue digital watch
I got this watch at a fantastic price but regardless of that I would have been more than happy with paying more. The combination of the analogue hands and digital display is great. Hands can obscure date and day at certain times of the day but hey how often do you need to look at the date let alone the day and year. I use this for swimming and it's perfect for timing. The alarm and snooze functions work well. Setting is fairly straightforward if somewhat detailed. Haven't bothered with tide but I'm sure if you need this function adjusting the parameter to where in the world you are should be simple. My eyes art perfect but I use reading glasses for setting it. Sorted. Apart from all that it looks great. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

Proprio bello !!!
