One of the fastest router in the market when writing this review. The router provides wifi6 which helps as most devices are compatible with it. Good range, but as distance increases speed drops. So if you are looking for a long range you can use any TP link easy mesh supported routers as satellites.

Overall, this is a good router, but a few features are locked behind subscription-based paywall. The app is decent it lets you view connected clients and perform basic management tasks. I’m currently using it in bridge mode so it can properly handle routing, NAT, and DHCP. Note: If your ISP uses PPPoE, enable bridge mode on the ISP modem and set the connection type to PPPoE on this router. Without enabling bridge mode, it mostly ends up working as a secondary Wi-Fi extender. Also, if you connect the ISP modem’s LAN output to this router’s WAN port without bridge mode, it can create a double NAT situation, which may cause issues.

Nice product, internet connections work smoothly, the app software is too good, you can limit the users and also customise the WiFi time. Enhances the range and speed over regular default fibre provider modem. Covers area where regular modem doesn’t reach. One star less as I still have to take connection via modem, if this would have worked as modem too, life would have been easier !

I recently purchased two TP-Link Archer BE400 WiFi 7 routers and set them up as a mesh network—one on the first floor as the main unit and the other on the ground floor as a wired satellite. Installation was straightforward, and the coverage throughout my duplex home is outstanding. Even though my Jio Fiber plan is for 150Mbps, I consistently get between 160-170Mbps over WiFi with these routers, which is a fantastic boost over my previous setup. Streaming 4K and even some 8K content has been completely smooth across all devices, thanks to WiFi 7 technology. These routers come packed with useful features: fast 6.5Gbps rated speed, multiple LAN ports including a 2.5Gbps WAN/LAN, and integration with Alexa and Google Assistant for easy smart home management. The six antennas really help with coverage and reliable connections on both floors. A small drawback—Jio Fiber unfortunately locks down bridge mode on their routers, so I couldn’t activate it. It would have been nice to use that feature, but performance is still excellent with the BE400 running as my main router. If you're looking for fast, future-proof WiFi for your home, these routers deliver. I highly recommend them, especially for mesh setups and anyone frustrated by ISP router limitations! I have a decently large house and used to have a router plus 3 repeaters as my old setup. With this not only it completely covers my house but i also somehow get signal till the end of my street which is close to 6 houses down (i lowered the power so it only covers my house). I get flawless wifi 7 signal throughout and it can handle large groups of people like around 20 plus connecting to it as it auto assigns people to either 2.5 or 5 ghz bands to deliver best possible qualit. Best value for money and its very easy to use and manage especially because of the thether app. It can connect 200 devices so its kind of over powered for home use but its future proof. I consistently get 500mbps with 23 devices connected to it at any corner of the house

This is the Worst router you can ever get. This router frequently gets restarted and there is no solution from Tplink side. Zero response from customer care and totally disappointed. When connected the speed is decent but has network drops and not stable.

Avendo una linea in fibra pura (FTTH) da 2.5 Gigabit, il modem fornito dall'operatore faceva da "collo di bottiglia" e non mi permetteva di sfruttare tutta la velocità che pagavo. Ho deciso di fare il salto al Wi-Fi 7 con questo TP-Link Archer BE400 e la differenza è stata netta fin dal primo giorno. ✅ I PUNTI FORTI: Velocità pura e stabilità La porta da 2.5 Gbps (Fondamentale): È il motivo principale per cui l'ho scelto. Collegandolo all'ONT della mia fibra tramite la porta da 2.5G, riesco finalmente a far entrare tutta la banda nel router senza perdite. Gli speedtest ora volano. Tecnologia MLO (Multi-Link Operation): La vera innovazione del Wi-Fi 7. I dispositivi compatibili si collegano simultaneamente sia alla 2.4GHz che alla 5GHz. Risultato? Se c'è un'interferenza o mi allontano, la connessione non cade e la latenza resta bassissima. Perfetto per il gaming online o per scaricare file pesanti senza interruzioni. App e Configurazione: L'app "Tether" di TP-Link è a prova di neofita. Ho configurato la rete, impostato le password e gestito i dispositivi collegati in meno di 10 minuti, tutto dallo smartphone. ❌ IL COMPROMESSO TECNICO Manca la banda a 6GHz: Per mantenere il prezzo accessibile, questo è un router Dual-Band (2.4 e 5 GHz). Manca quindi la terza banda a 6GHz presente sui modelli top di gamma molto più costosi. Inoltre, ricordate che per vedere i veri vantaggi del Wi-Fi 7, serve avere smartphone o PC recenti e compatibili. Con i vecchi dispositivi navigherete benissimo, ma con le velocità del vecchio Wi-Fi. ⚖️ VERDETTO FINALE Se avete una connessione FTTH superiore al Gigabit e volete liberare tutta la potenza della vostra linea senza spendere 400 euro per un router Tri-Band, l'Archer BE400 è la scelta più intelligente che possiate fare oggi. I'm extremely impressed with the Archer BE400 Wi-Fi 7 router. Despite not having the 6GHz band, it offers exceptional performance for a mid-range Wi-Fi 7 device, proving to be a fantastic value. Its stability and reliability have been outstanding, especially when using the MLO band with compatible devices. Impressive Performance & Coverage: Wide Coverage: The router provides excellent signal strength and covers my entire 120 sqm apartment without any issues. Device Management: It effortlessly handles a high number of connected devices—over 33 in my case, including phones, laptops, smart TVs, and numerous IoT gadgets—with no performance drops. Improved Speeds: With my 1 Gbps fixed internet plan, I consistently achieve over 900+ Mbps, a remarkable +33% improvement in speed over my old AC2100 router. Long-Range Stability: Even at over 40 meters away and through multiple walls outside my flat, I get over 90 Mbps, which is a significant jump from the 8-9 Mbps I used to get with old AC2100 router (also tested via Speedtest.net). Key Features and Setup: Flexible SSID Configuration: The router allows for a very organized network setup. I've successfully created separate SSIDs for IoT devices, guests, standard Wi-Fi (2.4/5GHz smart connect), and a dedicated MLO band for my Wi-Fi 7 devices. Advanced Settings: A crucial tip for new users: I was unable to activate OFDMA and MU-MIMO through the Tether app. However, I was able to enable and save these settings easily via the router's web browser interface. They now show as active in the app as well. Overall, this router is a stellar performer, offering great speeds and rock-solid reliability. Its compatibility with EasyMesh is a bonus.
