Those look very good also.I have been buffing auto paint,, plastics, metals and refinished furniture for 48 yrs. off and on. This product is a gem for smaller areas on vehicles. The 3" backing plate fit great on my newer HF DA polisher. Only spun it by hand and appears to run true with no run out (wobble).Have a buddy's headlights to restore soon after wet sanding to remove the yellowed UV coating. This should work perfect for the final finishing.Very pleased so far. A trusted brand from my research.

I bought 2 of these and they are exactly as pictured. I paired this backing plate with the Porter-Cable 7424XP DA Polisher and the Chemical guys 5.5 inch pads that come in a 3 pack with Orange, white and black pad and pad cleaner. The backing plate did exactly what it’s supposed to, it held the pads flawlessly and I had zero problems. I am completely new to using a polisher and pads to compound, polish and wax my vehicles and always did it by hand. Never again! This combo of equipment worked great and my Tahoe looks better than ever. The backing plate held up perfect and still looks brand new. I bought a second one as backup in case the plate wasn’t that durable and never opened it and from the looks of things, won’t need it for a long long time. I’d buy again in a second.

I've been using this with the Meguiar's DA polisher (which I also have high praise for). Although the outer edges do flex somewhat, it is rather on the stiff side. In my mind, I thought the edges would have a little more flexibility but it still works great in actual usage. Appearance-wise, it looks rather cheap because of the yellow plastic. However, it does feel strong during hand-held inspection. Used it a few times to buff out my two cars and my friend's car as well. The hook and loop backing is REALLY strong. Practically have to tear the foam pads off of it! I guess that would be good and bad. Good because you know the foam pads would never ever fly off accidentally. Bad because you have to carefully remove the foam pads to prevent unnecessary wear and tear of the pad itself. I won't dock any stars for that since I am only reviewing the quality of the backing plate only.To sum up, good quality product. Could do without the cheap appearance (C'mon, banana yellow? Seriously?) but have to emphasize the overall solidity and "sticky" factor of this thing. Therefore it gets my recommendation!

Great for the money works great and no heat issues like some. They hold together well and the backing holds the pads really good.

There's not too much to say about a product like this, in short, it does exactly as intended. It attaches to the buffer securely and holds a pad on securely, it does both of these things with out wobble.What stands out to me is the durability and strength of this product. I use this on a Porter Cable DA, and I used it for probably 200 cars in paint corrections over 5 years time, and this thing is great and confidence inspiring. It is flexible enough to work, but never cracks or splits and the stud is very securely mounted in it. After I had a different brand backing plate explode and cause damage to a vehicle after only 6 months of use, i realized how impressive this particular one is.Out of fear of random failures, I now replaced my original with a new one of these, but its important to note the other had no issues, I just prefer the peace of mind. I'd recommend with any backing plate you replace it every few years just to be safe. But I will keep on using these, and this brand has been easy to work with and great for me!

Makes it easy to change out pads

The Lake Country products are some of the better quality product available at a reasonable price. Once the pad is in place it stays in place and requires quite an effort to remove (as it should) It is sized correctly so the the edges cannot come into contact with and scuff or scrape the paint. Works Great, as a 1st time user of this type of equipment, very happy with the quality of the design. Did research prior to purchasing and for a user for daily drivers and a boat, this pad exceeds my expectations. Can see this lasting many years with no worries. Always intimating to try detailing a vehicle with electrical tools, but with some research and having right equipment, make its doable and little risk. I purchased a orbital DA polisher and the pad which came with the tool was far less superior to this Lake Country pad. Consistent and quality of the pad make auto detailing a pleasure.

The plate supplied was a much cheaper version of the one pictured. It was not sufficient and had to be returned. The plate itself was to flexible and not sturdy enough.

Item received is not as described, inferior quality to what is pictured on Amazon, it is not the heavier pad as advertised but the cheaper pad. Available for half the price from other sellers on Amazon
