Ernie BallProTune USB-C Rechargeable Clip-on Tuner

I really like this tuner. Have had a few others, but being rechargeable is great and the meter shows well. Pressing the power button repeatedly switches from 4 stringed bass to 6 string guitar and a few others. . You can also tune down or up a few cents if you need to play out of standard tuning.

I like the idea of no battery. The unit has a nice sleek display with nice features. I had to return it because it will not hold a charge for more than 24 hours. The manual says to charge every 3 months just to keep the battery in good shape. The one I bought won't keep its charge for 3 days! I suppose it could be that I received a defective unit but with some many on the market, it's not worth the headache.

It brakes so easy

You can see in the pic, it's showing the same amount off as the snark tuner.I feel that's what this is aimed at, so I didn't bother testing it against a peterson or walrus.I really love the big, bright, multicolor display - it's one of the easier tuners to see.What I didn't love so much is that the controls are on the BACK of the unit, but it doesn't take much time to get used to the on being the top button when you reach around.It's utterly as capable as my snark super tight. (I rate that and this tuner ahead of my d'adarrio and fender tuners.) They both charge up in about the same amount of time. I haven't had any trouble with it holding a charge, but I turn it off after I'm using it too.Since I play guitar, bass, uke, and violin, this little tuner covers all my bases.- oh, I should note that the tension of the up and down swivel is adjustable, and that's great if you've ever had to deal with rivets getting lose on other tuners of this ilk.

This is my second clip-on tuner, as I had a Lekato tuner before this one. The Ernie Ball is definitely capable of covering your needs, but has some pro's and con's compared to the Lekato.PRO's:- USB-C charging is great. Glad to see this format covered, as these charging cords get lost easily.- Small size, but big screen. The screen is bright and easy to read.- Alternate hz frequencies. If you don't tune to 440hz standard, you can adjust this.- Has a bass guitar optionCON's:- Not a lot of alternate tunings. My Lekato tuner offers several alternate tunings, such as Open G, Open D, and Open E. Sure, you can just use chromatic tuning, but it's nice to have these built in.I'd definitely recommend this clip-on tuner to someone who plays acoustic, ukelele, or just needs an extra tuner for their electric guitar. Very capable and seems pretty accurate.

This is a pretty good tuner. I'm very excited that it has USB-C for charging so that I don't have to worry about keeping a supply of stupid button batteries around. I did have a little bit of trouble tuning to 'E' on my bass guitar - even with the tuner set to "B". It got there eventually, but it was clearly struggling. Should be fine for regular guitar players.

An excellent product from Ernie Ball, well trusted brand of guitar accessories. The tuning is accurate, I have compared it with several other tuners and the accuracy is right on target. But, my favorite feature by far is that it is rechargeable. That is so handy, I can stop stashing extra batteries and easily recharge this tuner easily and quickly. The screen is very bright and easy to read.

I used Ernie Ball's Flextune, but I've been hoping they'd release a USB-C rechargeable clip-on tuner. The ProTune didn't disappoint. The tuner is extremely responsive and easy to use. Highly recommended.
