Love this stuff. Works and isn’t super sticky. Has a loose hold so my hair doesn’t feel hard, but the curls still hold.

The product works for me. It’s light, scent free and a small amount is enough for my long hair.

UPDATED REVIEW: I recently cut my hair significantly- I had hair past my waist before, but now sits just below my collarbone. I changed the way I used this product and I have seen much better results, but I do think that my hair length plays a large role - if you have extra long hair, this product likely won't yield the results you're looking for. For medium-to medium/long hair, it may work as it did for me. Additionally, the instructions on my bottle said to add to towel-dry hair; this method did not work for me. Instead, I added the product to my hair after squeezing out excess water by hand, but before I put it up in my "towel turban". I added the product, brushed it through, then put it in the towel for a bit, and later let it air dry. This led to my waves coming out much more noticeably, and much less frizz. If the scent lasted I'd give it 5 stars, but with the tweaks, it's definitely more of a 4-star product than 2; consider your hair length and application if you don't see desired results. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have natural waves in my hair but to be frank I feel like this actually made my hair less wavy than usual; it certainly didn't enhance anything. I applied to towel dried hair and scrunched as indicated on the bottle and have not been impressed with the results. I tried a few times, varying the amount of product used, but the result is always slightly sticky/crispy hair, frizz, and depressed looking waves. While it does smell good, the scent does not last. It probably works as mousse with lightweight hold but this is not what I was looking for, and certainly not worth the price tag.

EXPENSIVE and the hold doesn't last all day. After about a half day it's gone and I need to re-wet my hair to get the curls back in order. I do like the feel, but it is quite costly for someone with a lot of hair and lots of curls. Wish it lasted longer as it does provide soft feeling curls -- they just turn into a wild mess after a few hours.

I’m in love. My wavy hair has never looked this good. Tried it because I’m so over CGM, and was looking for a faster routine. Applied in dripping wet hair and scrunched in like I would gel, towel dried for 15-20 minutes. Let down, and applied wave spray by Ouai. Amazing results.

Bought for: clean, shiny, defined curls. I’ve had good luck with other OUAI products, so I expected this to be a win. What happened (real results): I’m 3C on the Andre Walker system (how curly hair is measured) I used this daily for a full week to give it a fair shot and followed the directions exactly. My usual routine is to dry with a diffuser on medium heat and medium airflow. This product made my hair look frizzy and crunchy-ish, like 80’s mousse, not soft, defined curls. The weird part is it also made my hair feel frizzy and oily at the same time, like it wasn’t smoothing or defining, just… coating. The only positives: Scent: smells really nice (OUAI always does), and the scent lasts a long time Packaging: looks luxe and the pump is easy to use Value: This is expensive for what you get. It feels like a luxury buy, and for me it wasn’t remotely worth it because the performance didn’t match the price. Would I buy again? No. I wouldn’t repurchase. OUAI Air Dry Foam has become one of my favorite styling products because it gives my hair a soft, natural texture without any crunch. I use this in my “wavy hair” routine as someone with that ever so slight natural wave and it works great. Holds the wave without making a big hard cast on the hair.

Really love this air dry mousse. Left to its own devices my hair is a mixture of loose curls, waves and frizz! In the summer I like to let it dry naturally and usually use salt spray to tame the frizz but after buying this not sure I would go back! It works much better on my hair, leaving it with lovely waves (almost loose curls) but not as crispy as using salt spray. Can refresh each day by dampening hair and reapplying a bit more product. Will definitely buy again.

Omg PLEASE tone it down with the scent!! This product gives me the best results I’ve seen for my wavy curls, so soft, defined, and beautiful. But the scent is outrageously strong - I can’t use this product if it gives me a headache all day. I’ll try leaving the cap open to see if I can get it to dissipate but if not the heavy handed use of scent has made this product unusable for me even though I love the results (please seriously consider changing the formula or making an unscented version). I was genuinely embarrassed in my building elevator worried someone would call me out. A woman even started sniffling within 30 seconds of standing next to me. Equivalent to dousing myself in perfume, not cool.
