Pigeons, Doves and Dovecotes

As a complete novice I found this book good but not very thorough. I would have preferred less on the history of dove cotes and more on the practical aspects. Little is written about how much to feed your birds. However; it was good value, helpful and as far as books on the subject go, one of very few.

Very useful bood and very informative, gives you so much information on how to choose which dovecote is right for you and so much more information besides, yes I would recommend this book.

Excellent book. If you are just starting out or want some excellent tips this is the book, bought others but needn't have wasted my money if I'd seen this first

A great little booklet for beginners. Covers all you need to know to get started, from types of dovecotes and averies to food, homing, breeds and a little on their history around the world - which is interesting even for non-history buffs. There's a handy section on avian vets at the back. Good images many of which have been especially taken for this booklet.(Not just selected from a picture library). Written by someone with good practical knowledge and experience. Well worth the money.

Excellent book for a slim volume but cannot go into the great detail that is sometimes required when a problem arises. Interesting and informative with pictures.
