Good clean seeds with good germination rate (I'd say about 80% at the start with maybe one or two lost afterwards). Did a split of indoor germinating vs outdoors straight in a container pond since we have conditions for it earlier than most. Both methods worked great and honestly, the outdoor ones seem a little hardier. If you do germinate indoors make sure they have plenty of direct light and water depth otherwise they get leggy. Picture is a full month later. Once they started sprouting leaves and some roots growth speed really sped up! Get new leaves weekly. Water depth currently is about 10 in here. Do note: if this is your first time growing these you will NOT get blooms until around a year. These are perennials and need time to develop the tubers and go through a bit of leaf shed before flowering can start. Still look very nice filling out the container now!

I was SO excited to get these and try them out for the first time! They were beautiful on delivery - all of them were sprouting and looked amazing! I followed the directions to the letter, but every single one of them died within a week of being transplanted into a proper pot. SO SAD! I would love to give them a better review, but dead flowers are dead flowers... :(

I may have 2 brown thumbs, but my death rate was 100%. Nothing sprouted very far… probably mostly my fault, but the whole special soil etc was painful. Probably not for rookies with plants.

didn't like those, never bloomed, maybe didn't get the properly care, honestly hope that you guys have better luck than me

I'm absolutely thrilled with my ZEshops lotus seeds purchased through Amazon! From the moment I received the package, I was impressed. The delivery was prompt and the seeds were packaged securely, ensuring they arrived in perfect condition. I followed the included instructions and was amazed at how quickly most of the seeds germinated – within just a few days! It's been so exciting to watch them sprout. Ordered these as an experiment to see if I could grow them to bloom. I researched them prior to purchasing, knew they bloom adter their 2nd year, need to be kept in warm water (@ 80 degrees) and purchased warming mats for them, set up grow lights as well. I live in Colorado. They all sprouted. Only half managed to make a pad, the other half rotted and died. Out of the batch…I may get one or two that make it to year two and bloom. NOT easy to grow. They need daily attention to check water temps and keep water clean. I don’t think they were advertised truthfully to toss in water and become the beautiful bowl of lotus flowers shown in the photo. I’m not giving up, but not particularly happy with them either.
