This dog car holder is getting two stars because the leash that connects the car seat and the dog together is too long even on the shortest setting. First time using it she literally got out of the car seat and went over to literally sit on the regular seat not in her dog car seat. This means if there was a crash she would fly who knows where. To make matters worse there is the opening in the front so that the dog can rest its head out but again if there was a crash that would be even worse for my puppy because there is that hole/gap right in the front. My puppy is a rescue mixed breed and yes, is small but when making the safety straps they should have factored in small puppies as this is their smallest size.Fortunately, i bought a competitor which has a shorter leash and no opening in the front. I have included a picture to help you reviewers (blue seat, right/2nd picture). It is a deeper "bucket" too meaning that if there was a crash she would have the bucket protection rather than the low "walls" of this K and H car seat. The only positive is that it is a soft and plus car seat but for safety purposes which is why i assume most of you are reading this review, i would not recommend. This car seat has been great for our dachshund puppy. He loves to ride in it! It is good quality construction & seems to be sturdy. I primarily use it in the back seat. I think this is a product that we will use for a long time. I feel that our puppy is safe when he travels with us and he is not a distraction. So glad that we made this purchase!

My lil Bebe @chupathewawa loves her booster. My Bebe is really picky w blankets so this booster is perfect cuz it’s super soft. It’s perfect for when I have the top down. She loves that she can see out the window and do her favorite activity, PEOPLE WATCH! HAHA! Sometimes I’ll laugh to myself cuz we’ll both look at the same thing n then look at each other. It’s cute. Also I love love love that it has a clip so that I can hook it on to her harness just for piece of mind so I know my Bebe will be safe. Thanks for making such a quality product.

This seat is perfect for my dog. I would recommend it for toy breeds. I have a 5lb chihuahua and would think any dog over 12 lbs may be too large for it since it hangs. My dog likes to see out the window and this type of seat allows her to do that. It's easy to install and favorable quality. All-in-all a good buy.

We bought 2 of these, one in July 2017 and one on January, 2019. We and our dog love them. However, about a month ago the plastic clip on the first one that we bought broke as I was tightening it. It’s not a replaceable part. Then today the webbing on the 2nd one that we bought just broke while I was driving. Fortunately, the 2nd one is covered under the K&H 1 year limited warranty. Unfortunately, the 2st one that we bought is not covered after 2 years. The customer service woman was very nice and said that had it been 18 months they might have been able to replace it, but not after 2 years. So, while it’s a great product to use, they have quality control issues since they both broke. Probably made in China, and that would explain it, but it doesn’t help us.

I returned this. The tether that you hook the collar or harness to was too long and my dog was able to jump out of the seat and he was stuck just outside the seat which could be dangerous. It did not work for my dog.

I use it on the center console of my truck for my tiny dog. I was able to secure it pretty well and she seems to like it for road trips. It is also a great bed when we aren't traveling. My only complaint is that it was smashed down while shipping and I had trouble getting it to its proper shape after.

My little Pomeranian loves to go for rides in my car and pickup. She is too small to look out the windows so I purchased this seat for her. She sits in it and is completely mesmerized by the view. The only downside is now she can see the big dogs when we drive by and she barks at them!

My cat likes to sleep in this seat when I bring it inside. She’s still getting used to being in it when driving. She likes being lose and going where she wants. The product is very well made. I put elastic around the head rest because it tends to tip to whatever side my cat leans and this seems to rectify that. The seat is too smal for her to stretch out but she can still curl up in it. My cat is around ten pounds and long. Would recommend on any car seat you buy for your fur baby to unhook them if you’re leaving them in the car unattended. My cat can get out but can’t get anywheress after that. I would be afraid of them getting caught in something or choking. This is not just for this seat but any pet car seat.
