This assortment is really terrific. I got a good assortment exactly as shown. I have an 8mo small rescue Papillon as well as a blonde DSH 11mo. rescue kitten. I figured this was the pushy puppy (who kitty outweighs) who couldn't grab all 6 fish at the same time, giving the kitten at least a shot of grabbing for her choice in one of the toy boxes before the puppy can empty and steal & relocate everything. It's truly hilarious to watch them play, great for either species (if similar in age/size/temperment/sex while well monitored). Like a multi species playdate 24/7. Both girls are already inseparable when not trying to demolish each other during play. Can't comment on catnip, kitty is not impressed with any catnip, ever. Dog is happy on the natch, thankfully. A bit of an expense, but per quality & different fishy not bad. Great quality. Still wishing more toys made in USA, (this China) but bol finding any critter toy quality & good $ value mfr. in USA.

My cats love carrying these fish around in their mouths. I've even found the two biggest fish upstairs in my bedroom. The kitten sometimes hides them inside one of the "rooms" of the kitty condo. I found four fish in there one day! One night I had just gone to bed when the adult cat came upstairs meowing. I looked over and she had brought the biggest fish upstairs and left it in the sitting area. Lather, rinse, repeat and the 2nd largest fish had joined the big fish. One more time, and a catnip mouse had joined the party. I finally got up and threw all the toys downstairs. The next morning, the big fish was back. The smaller fish get batted around the living room and the front hall. I often find them on the stairs, too. These were the best toys I bought when I was waiting to pick up the cats from the rescue.

Bought a "floppy" style fish toy for our big 25 lb. cat, "Nacho." He was afraid of it, and the girl cats were all bored with it in under 2-minutes. BUT, with the mechanism out, and filled with catnip it is popular with all. Was trying to duplicate that, without acquiring more floppy mechanisms. The three little fish, have no catnip inside, and no way to add it. After removing most of the stuffing from the two medium-size fish, and adding catnip, they are okay-ish. The big fish, is too big even for the long, tall, 25 lb. Nacho. The 6 toys come with ONE TINY packet of catnip.

So, the real 5 star review is coming from my 5 cats. They were instantly curious as soon as I pulled the wands and attachments out of the very convenient bag it all came in. I immediately extended one wand (by the way, I really like the telescoping features of the wands) and one of my cats pretty much went wild going after it. I quickly got out the other wand and had the two going in my hands at the same time with 3 of my cats all going after them and 2 standing by just waiting for a chance to butt in. I then changed out one of the feathers for the pink mouse with the streamer tail and that was a total hit with them as well. My only concern is wondering if the wand tips will hold up for long since it does seem pretty thin at the end. It is very flexible, however, so it appears it will bend instead of break. I think this is a really good set of cat toys, especially for the price, and if this lasts for a reasonable time, I would totally buy a replacement set since my 5 cats do tend to be a little hard on their toys (worse than my boys, lol).

Mr. Phil cat loves these!!I've spent the past year bribing my bf's roommates cat to like me. When we first started dating he HATED me (would take my clothes out of bf's room, refused to eat anything I touched, would physically try and get in my way any time I tried to enter a room where he was ect.). Which as someone who's had dogs their whole life was really rough. Over the past year he has definitely warmed up -the combo of repeat exposure and bribes seem to be really helping. These by far have been the best bribe I've found!!! For added fun tie one end of a piece of string around the tail of the toy and the other to a fishing pole and let the cat "attack" the moving fish!

Our cat LOVED these catnip fish!! They're much bigger than we'd expected, which was great - our cat was tossing them into the air and kicking them with his back legs as soon as we took them out of the bag - and we could reseal the bag, which was great for doling them out 2 at a time while keeping the rest of them Catnip Fresh. A wonderful purchase, well worth the price - and as soon as our kitty has ripped these apart (they're sturdy, but we know it's only a matter of time before he destroys them), we'll DEFINITELY be back for more!!

So, I have a Maine Coon who spends his nights collecting socks from the laundry and laying them all over mine and my kids beds as gifts for us to wake to. I then have to spend time picking it all up, although appreciated. SO- I bought two packs of them, put a lid on the sock container and put these fish in a basket near the laundry room. Now every night he works hard to haul the fish to lay on our beds and before bed the next night I replace them in the basket for him to do again that evening. Very bright, colorful and large. Good buy.

I leave them all over the house and when he feels like playing, he goes fishing. He likes to hug and kick them or just hold them until he falls asleep. Good purchase! They are very cute and smell a little like catnip. There is no catnip inside and no pouch to add catnip. I think they were just placed in some catnip before shipping. I was glad, because my cat has asthma and is sensitive to scents.
