I really enjoyed how unconventional this book really is
Making pizza at home has never been more creative until I bought this book!! First of all, I really enjoyed how unconventional this book really is. It is not like any other cookbook I have read before. The fact that I can pick my own crust, sauce and toppings is great because sometimes I don't want to eat the same thing over and over again, and I know the kids love the endless possibilities. They enjoy using the rising pizza dough crust, while I experiment with the healthier ones and play around with different sauces and toppings. My daughter made a taco style or the suggested Mexican style pizza the other day and swore she was in love. I think I fell in love with the Muffaletta Style Pizza!!I would recommend this cookbook to anyone who enjoys eating and making homemade pizzas, even without a pizza peel or stone. The book gives instructions on how to use the oven. It is in incredible!! Why hasn't something like this been published sooner.

Fun Pizza Recipe book!
"Pizza Stone Recipe Cookbook" is a good recipe book with useful tips. I like how the author starts off with important tips from the beginning. One of those tips is to make sure you get the right size stone for your oven. This is better than going to the store and guessing what size works for your oven. Tips like this save time and money. I learned a ton about how to make a pizza from home. I appreciate the author's tone throughout the book. I have never read a cookbook with the light humor and entertainment factor. I enjoyed the book so much more because of that. Let's face it, pizza is enough of a reason to like this book but the author adds personality to it which made me smile quite a bit. This is my favorite pizza book and I didn't even realize that cookbooks could be so entertaining! The only thing that I would change about this book is to include more pictures of the pizza.

A subpar example of a cookbook
This is not at all what I was hoping for. I bough it was a gift to go along with a pizza stone. It was the first cookbook of it's kind to show up when I searched for a "pizza stone cookbook" and it had decent reviews. I thought I couldn't go wrong. I was mistaken. The book itself doesn't even get to a recipe until page 29. It is all "tips" before then, and I use that word lightly. While I do enjoy some handy tidbits when reading a cookbook, 28 pages worth is a bit overkill. The printing of the book is the real reason for my review. To be fair, it does say right in the beginning that it was independently published. My first thought was a positive one. I liked the idea of helping out someone that was doing this on their own, or at least with a smaller group of people. However, once I started flipping through the pages, my thoughts quickly turned negative. There were lines running through most of the pages and spots where the words or letters were completely missing. It looked like a job handled by an inexperienced person with faulty equipment. If it were for me, I might have just accepted the faulty nature of the book and stuck it on my shelf. Seeing as it is a gift, I returned it immediately. I would have been embarrassed to gift this along with the beautiful pizza stone I purchased.

This book has big stones!
I never knew I could have a pizza stone of my own like all the ma and pop pizza shops. This book walks you through not only what to cook on a pizza stone but how to maintain it so you can keep those delicious pizzas coming to your dinner table. The most surprising part of this cookbook was how easy it was to read (also very funny too!) Unlike most cookbooks, this one doesn’t assume you don’t religiously watch the food network. Mr. Luigi goes through all the different social uses for pizza (Also how the pizza stone can be awesome baking other kinds of bread) and he shows how healthy pizza can be!Big win for someone like me who is trying to lose some weight! There are some out of this world pizza recipes in here (carrot chili paste sauce on a pizza?) but each one is worth checking out. The only drawback I had was lack of pictures of the finished product. Sounds silly I know. I’m just a visual guy. 4 out of 5 stars for me!

Flexibility
I use the pizza stone to make pizza on my bbq grill. I have also used it in the oven. Both work extremely well. I would recommend this to anyone.

Better than delivery pizzas
The recipes are good. I have made a total of six pizzas and all were delicious. The crust was excellent, the other ingredients complemented the overall taste . We now prefer these to the ones you have delivered.

Large portion of the book was a political manifesto
I'm not sure if it was a printing error or what, but this book was purchased to be a prize for a contest at our place of business. When it arrived and we looked through it, the entire middle third of the book was a political essay of some sort. It seemed as though the full text of another book was sandwiched into a pizza cookbook. Needless to say, we couldn't give that out as a prize, so we returned it. None of the other reviews mentioned this, so I don't know if we got a weird aberration, but buyer beware.

useful and entertaining
I'm primarily using my pizza stone on my gas grill, looking for expanded options for summer evening cook outs, and this book offers useful tips and suggestions. It's also an entertaining read, so you're getting more than just recipes. My only disappointment, was that while it mentions the ability to do more than just pizza on the stones, it doesn't offer any actual recipes for breads or desserts.
