Brilliant piece of kit
Heats up very quickly to 450C. The digital reading was accurate to 1% - which was amazing! Holding the unit without inadvertently changing the digital setting takes a bit of practice. Can’t really go wrong with an Antex soldering iron. Well made with quality materials.

Element broken after 9 months light use. Manufacturer repaired
Have only used a few times and it has already failed with error code HE indicating heating element fault. Could not claim under warranty with Amazon but the manufacturer was very helpful

Heats up to target temp in seconds. 10/10
Anyone who knows Antex needs not listen to me harp on about reliability and great service. This heats up in seconds, and the touch button temperature control is spot on accurate. A bit more than the regular irons, but you get what you pay for here.10/10.

Superb Quality Item.
Excellent quality item, that is just as good as a soldering station, but cheaper!Very lightweight, easy to use, nice silicon cable. Ticks all the boxes, this is a quality item at a stupidly low price.I have been using mine for several years and it has proven to be very reliable. My only tiny criticisms are the cable is a little too short, and the temperature adjust button tends to get pressed accidentally so you need to watch the temperature display now and then. Other than that, it's been great. Highly recommended.

Broken (on 2 occassions)
Originally ordered Dec 2018. It broke after 20 hours use (loose internal mains connection probably). I received a replacement March 2018. This ceased to work after making precisely 6 solder joints. Amazon said I would get precisely £0.00 refund, I am in the process of sorting out my £69.00 refund. THIS PRODUCT IS VERY POOR and not the quality I expected from ANTEX

gorgeous melty
this thing is great - replaced a rubbish weller whos grub screw melted itself.Its a'''tttiiinnyyy'' bit big but worth it for compact control and fast warm up and solder melting abilities.
