Computer Organization and Architecture (9th Edition) (William Stallings Books on Computer and Data Communications) Review: Decent Product - It's a decent book for what can otherwise be made a very in depth topic. This book is quite easy to understand, quick to the point, and not dense or too theoretical. It has less content than most of my high school textbooks. It is one of those few textbooks that I can say that I'm able to follow every word. You are a fortunate student if your professor elected to use this textbook. Review: very concise - I love the book. it is very straight to the point, easy to read and digest. I can recommend the book to anyone

Good and Interesting book
The book is a requirement for a upper devision class. I decided to use this time an e-book version and read it from my iPad through a Kindle app. It works great, except, I have a hard time to print out individual pages for reference and to study. What puzzles me is why an e-book would actually cost $100 compared to the $120 for a new hard copy book. Additionally, the hard copy has supporting materials where the e-book has not. E-books are overpriced compared to hard cover books.

Too many typos
There are typos in the formulas of the book, the FORMULAS! I got burned on a mid-term exam because of it. Don't expect this book to show you the math behind anything either, as there are absolutely no step-by-step examples in anything involving math, and other steps are severely lacking. The book does have a lot of information in it that can be valuable, so if you want information, it's a good book, but if you need it for calculations or problem solving of any sort, avoid it...

This book was a waste of time to read
This book was used for our intro level computer architecture class for some reason. Personally, I thought the book was filled with technical jargon that made the book difficult to read. The author had a tendency to ramble, when the point could have been conveyed concisely. The examples didn't have solutions for you to check your work, so it was a guessing game for if I understood a concept correctly.

Simply one of the best books in computer architecture that covers everything you need to know to design and organize your hardware

5 Stars because it's the exact book I needed, and the chapters are well organized and easy for me to study from. This came recommended from my professor, and the topics covered are exactly what I need to know for my courses.

The organization of this book is awful. It's unfortunate that it was required. Often it would pose a question about something but would never describe the process of solving a particular problem. Overall poorly written, the author gets away with this book primarily because there are so few options.
