They are good quality socks, and they are 100% cotton, I recommend them.

These are thick socks but seem to be getting holes in the corner where the seam would be

These socks are actually advertised as "Uniform Socks" (worn to a school that mandates uniforms.) I ordered size 5-8, (which the manufacturer means to correspond to children's ages) but there's no corresponding shoe sizes listed anywhere...and we all know that kids these ages vary widely in size. The socks are made of 82% combed cotton, 15% polyester, 3% spandex, meaning that they are comfortable, breathable, somewhat constricting to stay up and will shrink a bit when washed due to the high cotton content. (Please keep all this in mind when ordering). I ordered a set containing 6 pair: 2 white/2 navy/2 black which should work well for either uniform use or as dress socks. These have a mildly textured sole (? non-slip) but little of the design features you'd look for in athletic socks, ie, compression bands at the instep or silicone stripes at the heel. They are plain and solely designed for indoor wear with a uniform or as dress socks. These are nice socks and will do what they are designed for. However, I'm unhappy that there is no corresponding shoe sizes to make ordering easier, thus, am deducting a star.
