Really reliable, easy to grow, and in difficult areas
I did patch repairs on about 30 sections of my lawn this May and a fairly big area in the picture which was bare due to the trampoline. For over 10 years, I have been doing regular reseeding and used more than half a dozen different varieties. This is by far the best and easiest to put down.I simply removed about an inch of compacted top soil, mixed the grass seed with Westlands Gro-Sure Lawn seeding soil and pushed it in; watered it most days, and the new grass has come up in about 7-10 days. I have probably put too much seed in tbh as it's v thick in places but I have been scarred by years of so-called high quality grass seed not working. What's impressed me the most, is it's taken in parts of the garden alongside tree roots and semi shaded area that I had given up on. It's a lovely rich, dark green colour which will fade gradually and blend in.Caveat:1. The only final test is to use it in Autumn and see if survives a wet, cold winter when a lot of grass seed takes and I find gets kind of washed away.2. I have not tested it in complete shaded areas underneath the trees which I plan to do (but I am not sure it's designed for that)

Great Grass at a great price
I bought this to over seed my lawn as it had some bald patches after a wet winter. I decided to get a much bigger bag than I needed so I can go a little heavy on the seed. The first mistake I made was to just throw the seed down and hope that it grew. However I hadn't taken into consideration the fact that birds just ate most of the seed and my cats are useless at chasing them away. After a lot of reading I ended up getting a whole load of topsoil to then do it properly by laying down seeds then topsoil and some more seed. I have kept it moist and followed all the great advice I read up on and it is just starting to show the fruits of my labour. If you are using top soil try to apply a fair amount across the garden rather than just the patches as otherwise you could end up with really rich green grass in the areas you have treated and a lesser appealing area where you haven't top dressed it. There are plenty of videos showing you how to do this with equipment that you are likely to have in your shedThere are a few things to consider with any grass seed. Grass needs temperatures of about 10 degrees plus to germinate so the cold spell we have had up until this week has meant that my grass has taken nearly 4 weeks to show. Normally grass should only taken a week or two to start showing. My only gripe which isn't a big deal but on a 5kg bag I weighed it in at 4.7kg which is why I have deducted a star.At first I wouldn't have dreamed to recommend this but actually doing it properly and the temperatures rising I am really pleased and so would recommend this happily

Patience patience patience
As someone stated already, the grass won’t grow overnight. But that’s the same with any kind of seed. It might take a couple of weeks to start seeing something so be patient. Mine is growing in a heavy clay soil so seeds are working. Make sure you cover your seed with a light layer of top soil or composte and keep it moist. I strongly suggest to seed in April when the temperatures are going up and you have the right mix of dry weeks and wet weeks.

Good quality grass shame about the mushrooms
Good quality grass, grows quickly and seems hardwearing. Slightly disappointed with the amount of mushrooms that spawned where I lay the seed. Did not have an issue with mushrooms in garden before sowing this product

Genuine hi quality product
Step #0: Initial prep, remove existing weeds, grass and rack the soil evenly.Step #1: Spread 5mm topsoilStep #2: Spread the grass seedsStep #3: Spread another 5mm top soil on top of grass seeds or thin layer of soil to cover the seed.Step #4: Gently walk over the soil one to two time to avoid birds pick up the seedsStep #5: Don't ever walk again during germination.Water twice a day at least for the first week. End of second week ready for mowing.

Really fresh seed
The grass seed was very fresh and germinated super-fast. In two weeks a decent lawn has evolved! Of course we have taken care to water it but we’re very impressed and would be able to recommend based on our experience

20/25% seeds actually germinate so buy plenty of sacks to if planning to ocerseed
Speed of growth of seed isn’t as per description. I needed to oveseed my garden due to Rabbits destroying chinch’s of grass.- I mixed & watered as per set of instructions- however even with using good mixture of topsoil, and watering the number of grass seedling sprouting was probably about 20/25%.So needed to buy extra sacks of seeds to help oversees the grass
