Beautiful vibrant colors. Open immediately and test.
A few markers are a bit dry. Otherwise I loved these! Beautiful vibrant colors. Test markers upon receipt so that you have recourse if they are on the dry side.

not like other water soluble coloring methods..
This is a very good markers set but I must say that it is not what I expected. I have watercolor crayons and pencils that work very well for me but these markers, while they are of very good quality with alot of pigment, they don't blend as well as other other forms I've mentioned. If you are an artist that is into coloring their comic or cartoon characters and art, then is type of marker would probably be for you. It seems that these markers don't easily spread when water is added but they do blend well with each other well. With water color crayons and pencils, a little color spreads very easily with water and these marker do not have that same effect. For example, I used the marker to color in a red brick wall by adding highlights of different browns mixed with mostly red and it looked very nice although a bit cartoonish. But coloring a drawing of stain glass was hard because the marker is so deep and sharp that it does not blend into or fade out in to the paper's white background. I had to use watercolor crayons instead to achieve this effect. There is no control for shading your art. I also would not recommend you buy this as a toy because they are more costly than your average marker.

Excellent water-color felt tipped markers; dual use. Use alone or add water. Great!

Really horrible markers
I use a lot of different Caran d'Ache products, and this is the first one I don't like. In fact, I hate these markers. They can't act be used as markers. I'm guessing I can use them in conjunction with a water brush to get a watercolor look, as they are water soluble. But I wanted markers, and what I got was the worst set I have ever had the misfortune of using. They tear up the paper, no matter how good the quality. On some papers, they act like they're dried out. And the coloring lines/streaks are terrible. I really regret this purchase, but by the time I'd done enough small tests to confirm the awfulness, the seller only gave me one day to ship them back.If someone wants to comment and tell me where I'm wrong, please feel free. Even a YouTube link would be appreciated. For now, these win the award for Worst Product Ever Bought on Amazon.com. Until then, lesson learned: a company that makes the most amazing colored pencils I've ever touched does not necessarily make good products in other categories.

Lovely Pens & Great Delivery Service
Sure, they arenโt the most high-end but I love these pens because there are some colours in the set which you just donโt see in other packs of felt tips or markers. In particular, thereโs a beautiful shade of vibrant royal blue which I use all the time when colouring. It really makes the picture pop!Great delivery service, also. I ordered these late on Monday night and was happily using the pens by Wednesday afternoon. They arrived so promptly, and carefully encased in bubble-wrap.

Great watercolour fibre tipped pens
I was quite surprised with these pens, coming from such a prestigious company, I was expecting better quality. About half of the pens are wishy-washy, almost see through, looks awful when colouring because you can see streaks. The other pens are ok, but to me about as good as Crayola, I'd save your money and buy another set of fibre tipped pens.UPDATEMy bad, I've just discovered that these are in fact watercolour pens! And they are brilliant! So I take it all back, sorry Caran d'Ache.

Last minute Birthday Present
Any child over 8 will tell you, these are the best felt pens money can buy. They are the boast of the classroom, the envy of your school friends and will trounce any rival pencil case offerings at a glance. The first class delivery was also a winner for this forgetful parent, who had left it too late to find a birthday present. Can Amazon suggest anything for absent minded tooth fairies?
