GATSBY LEATHER COMPANY201-5 Halter Classic Adjustable

I purchased this halter for my 16 hand thoroughbred gelding to use as a turnout halter. I was very impressed with the quality of the leather and hardware, especially for such an inexpensive product. The leather is soft but sturdy, and is a nice dark havana brown as pictured. The buckles adjusted easily. My gelding has a slightly large head for a thoroughbred, but this works for him. The fit is a little smaller than I typically like, but that's currently a good thing as I bought this to replace two other halters he's lost in the field.

Nice halter, but when my gelding pulled back, the ring that you put your lead rope on opened and broke rather than the leather.

I liked the halter, but my horse busted it within a month.

It is perfect for my Holsteiner (he is 17h), good quality and finish.

Can't really recommend this halter. Cardboard leather. The leather was cracked on the noseband upon arrival. A little better after multiple conditioning and oil.

Excellent leather halter that is well made, and soft without needing extra conditioning. Put it on my QH mare and fit perfectly. The shaped throat was a big help in the fit. The leather is nice - was a bit tight adjusting the crown buckles - but it was right out of the box. Very happy with this halter - nicer than ones I've seen for twice the money.

Within a month of wearing this halter, the latch by my horse's left cheek snapped. It had been a week past a month when it was delivered so I was unable to replace it or return it. I really liked it otherwise.

1st impressions "Wow". Seems like a good quality leather, thick and sturdy. The colour is also lovely, a stunning dark, rich hue which looks lovely on my horse.
