Hello I used the steamer once then have not used for months when I plug in the lights come on and switch from red blue green etc but no steam appears

Well that is exactly what happened to mine. My failed after three uses and because it was 4 days over the waranty, the company did not want to know!!! There is clearly a reliability problem which the company is ignoring.

Steam is typically 100C to 150C

Do you have to press hard with this on garments and where do you hang your garments to do it s I have glass doors

No you do not press hard the steam does the work it helps if you hold the fabric. I do hang my garment on a door handle to do this without any problems. I guess the glass door would get steamed up!
