Rivco 1" Black Engine Guard Clamps CLMP1BK

Ok product. Heavy duty, pretty easy to install, look pretty good. However, impossible to tighten enough to keep peg/clamp from slipping after mounting on the engine guards...even with gently placing feet on the pegs. I ended up drilling through the clamp and into the engine guard and placing a screw (see pics) which seems to be working ok for now. Kinda frustrating to have to do this though. Maybe someone smarter than me knows a better way.

Fiddly install, and I had to put "skater tape" on the inside to prevent slippage, but once installed it stayed installed using loctite.Heavy and quality made.

Need to include a friction material in the package. They will slide and move no matter how tight they are. i had some left over from previous job. That is all it needed for 5 stars.

Overall not bad. I found that because these are thickly coated and the bars I clamped them to are are powder coated that the 1” diameter was actually smaller. They required some modification to make them fit which then required some adjusting to get them to clamp tight enough so that they wouldn’t spin. Quality seems decent enough.

I have these on my Triumph and I have really tightened them down but they still move.

I had an impossible finding highway pegs that were for a 1" bar and weren't chrome. Happy I got these.

You have to really hang on the wrench to get these to hold. If they slip, they mar the highway bars. If you tighten them enough to avoid slipping, they mar the highway bars.

did not fit one in highway bars sufficiently, had to try and use foam spacers and later skater tape, neither solution worked well. Returned
