Like the rest of me, my eyeballs are getting older -- MUCH older. I can hardly see in the dark at all. THIS LANTERN IS AMAZING. It is SO bright and it is SO easy to use. Please do note: it is SMALL. The lamp portion is about the size of a coffee mug, so the overall dimensions of the lantern are about as big as one coffee mug piled on top of a second coffee mug. I actually love the light weight and small size because the lantern is so easy to carry everywhere. I bring it out into the garden every night when I am putting out the dogs for the last time before sleeping. The major reason I bought this lantern is because I expect extreme weather conditions and power outages to be a regular feature of my future life. Am I right or am I right? With this lantern, I can make a whole room as bright as daylight in half a second. You can charge all of your devices from the USB port. I am going to buy more lanterns from this company for sure. One of the BEST, MOST PRACTICAL purchases of my life.

This one costs a little more, but the 12,000mAh battery makes ALL the difference!The 600 lumen light works fine -- that's the 'high' setting, and it lasts more than 168 hours -- that's a full week, straight.Loved the first one so much, I got two more. In the winter, our power goes out all the time. Last year, we had 7 or 8 outages of 12 hours or more. With these lanterns, we always had plenty of light, without having to dim to save power. Plenty of power for us to charge our phones, too.Tall, 110-year-old un-maintained trees, overhead wires, saturated ground, 50+ mph winds due to climate change -- what could go wrong?? (:-o We keep our 3 Blazin' Bolt lanterns charged & ready to go, and they've never let us down.

Very awesome light (lantern) It is much smaller than a typical Colemen-like lantern but to my surprise, it is much brighter than any Coleman lanterns I've used over the years and much less delicate. It feels very solid and premium and has 3 light levels (Low Medium & High I suppose) with a nice discernible difference between each. The lumens is high on these which means very bright light. To put it in an understandable way, on the high setting you DO NOT want to look directly into the light. It has that immediate blinding effect. The medium setting also does that but not quite as intense but pretty bright! Actually the low setting is at a level I will avoid direct eye contact as well but not as intense as medium and high. Rest assured, I'm a lifetime camper/backpacker and Coleman user and this light is very adequate for any situation. It also has an SOS setting which is a terrific feature, certainly if the need for it arises. There is the red light setting for those "side of the road situations" that we've all experienced. It is red and, though not anywhere near the brightness of the white light, it seems quite adequate for it's purpose and it also has an SOS setting. The buttons and the interface to navigate the various light options are clever, yet intuitive and well done and they too collectively, have that premium feel to them. Overall, this is an excellent, premium device (reflected by the price) that would be great for just about anyone. Remember always!.......we get what we pay for and, so far I really feel like I got my money's worth. We do not yet know about the product's longevity but thanks to Amazon's "easy to edit reviews", I can and will modify this post as necessary or as ample time passes.

We purchased this emergency lantern a couple of years ago and I keep it in my office. The reason i didn't give it 5 stars is, there doesn't seem to be a way to shut off a flash it emits every minute. I keep it back in a corner but still sometimes notice the flash. On the other hand, it is a good reminder to keep it charged up and ready to use. I have a note on my calendar and charge it every three months if it has not been used.It is small and lightweight, but the light is bright enough to use as a work or reading light. We have been so pleased with this lantern, er bought one as a gift for a family member this year.

As a bonus, all the features of this lantern are packed into a smaller size, making this the perfect lantern for packing for a camping trip. It is a bit heavier, but no more than expected for a dual-battery power-bank product with the longest run time rating.Important features for me:- shows a solid or flashing red light - great for roadside emergencies- shows a white, flashing SOS signal- high, medium, and low settings for the white light allows battery conservation- can be hung either right side up, or upside down- 1A power bank to charge devices- smaller than my existing lantern - which I will give away now.- USB rechargeable - so I will ditch my camper battery recharger now as wellOther notes:- Be sure your device does not need more than the 1A output of the power bank- The picture shows that the top screws off to be a flash light. My 1000 lm lantern does NOT do that. (No big deal for me - I wasn't buying a flashlight.- This lantern may look pricey - but I don't find any other lantern that compares. I wish I had purchased this a long time ago. I may purchase a second one as well.- I did not rate battery life because I have not had this long enough to validate that. However, I have no doubt this will outlast most other lanterns - certainly the lantern that I just replaced.

I am more than pleased with this product.The light output is amazing. It’s a good size for the jobs that I need it for. Nice weight and is a good quality product.Ps I purchased two lanterns, of which one had a LED defect. I notified the seller. Within minutes I got a response and then got a replacement lantern sent back to me. Which I received within a couple of days. I am very happy and very pleased with the service I received from this seller. I give 10/10 for the service I received.

I used several of these for a youth camp, for our large gala tent, which seated about 30 of us, plus tables.One of these on the medium setting could light the whole tent, two was pretty bright and with three of them on it felt like we had normal indoor lighting!I was worried they wouldn't last the whole week, so kept one back the first few days. However, they easily lasted the week, and on the last day we were even able to charge several phones off of them. The phones charged very quickly too.I'd highly recommend them; they're among some of my best purchases this summer!

Took camping for 5 nights. Used over our cook area & within the tent. Lasted the 5 nights on a single charge. Only issue is the light dispersion is sideways instead of down or evenly all around, so couldn't really use as a reading light on the table beside you. Needs to be hung above.

So far there is nothing to dislike about this product. The main thing is that I have the security in knowing that this Emergency Light will work when called upon to do so.
