I am using this as a what TP-Link likes to call it as "Multi-Wan" setup, Fibre + 4G dongle, connected to Wifi AP TP-Link Archer BE6500 (Wifi 7), had to also purchase TP-Link XX530v (GPON - Fibre Optic modem) as most of the Indian ISP's send locked down modems, and worst add CGNAT. If the 4G dongle properly worked on xx530v, I wouldnt have purchased this TL-WR1502X. Tp-Link uses microprocessors in the case of Wifi 7 AP is Broadcom BCM6766 (non- 6Ghz), which arent compatible with OpenWrt. So look for other routers. However, not sure what TL-WR1502X uses. But its less powerful. Dont know if its was delibrate, but I am okay for now, as I am more into reliability and easy of use. Unfortunately TL-WR1502X isnt good for VPN server but client, so dont expect it to handle a lot of devices at once. It serves a purpose, and its good at it. Dont use it as your main AP, its a good travel device and offers dual-Wan (with 4G USB Dongle and Fibre) device. I am looking forward for TL-WR3602BE, if its launched, I will rather buy it as my primary travel router.

Solid product for a travel Router. The only downside is that whenever I switch between Router, Hotspot and AP mode, the router needs to be restarted. And each mode needs configuring from beginning. Everything else is too good.

I am pretty sure this has to be tp-link's one of a kind device. I am talking about AX1500 version. Built quality is good. The charger it comes with is a poor quality one and will be loose enough to stay in the plug. MU-MIMO and OFDMA are missing. VPN option is missing. Poor customer support service, as they have less info about this product.

Writing this after 6 months of use. Currently I am in a place where I have limited number of devices which I can connect to the internet. So the hotspot mode originally was a god send. I can connect as many devices as I want. This also allowed me to run a LAN server However the router has its own issues. It breaks down constantly by turning red requiring you to unplug and replug it every time. Even while doing LAN operations it just fails. Also forget about gaming or anything else. This breaks down really fast and is inadvisable for online gaming. It's decent for streaming and downloading something less than 1 GB.

This is just an amazingly compact router which gives same or better coverage than some of the big bulky routers. Plus it is 4-5 times more power efficient and runs on regular power bank via usb C power port. The Tether app and web interface is very neat and easy to use. I have been using this as my main home router and it's performing extremely well serving multiple SSIDs with guest network serving my IoT devices. I wish it had few more features like - 1. Mesh Wifi support 2. More than 2 SSIDs for each band 3. Power input via barrel pin (as most router UPS output supports only barrel pins) 4. Foldable antenna for extended coverage (when needed) 5. 4g/5g SIM support

Would not connect on Android phone, I had to use an iPhone to set up, once connected to iPhone othe phones and computer connected without a problem, very small and will be great for travel purposes

I used Tp link router. Quite impressive on outside door activity. The only thing is the price / speed. Should be more lesser than the actual price. Otherwise the product is excellent
