So far I love this scoop! I am in a wheelchair and have three cats. It’s hard for me to reach to the back of the box. I saw a couple of reviews that said this scoop broke immediately. My fur babies are crossing their paws that this works for their mama! 😻😻Update: this scoop has worked like a charm I have arthritis pretty much everywhere this scoop makes it so much easier to scoop 😻UPDATE: June 20, 2021 I’m sorry to say but I’ve had two of these scoops that broke fairly soon after process but too far away to get them replaced. I have since purchased a metal scooper but I have chronic arthritis and it doesn’t have the extra arm to help with leverage. Take a risk if you buy this scooper.

I love my large aluminum Original DuraScoop but was looking for something with a longer handle. Tried a long handled metal one from another company but controlling it and maintaining leverage on that design was too difficult. When I saw this one by DuraScoop with the side handle I thought, "OK, this will let me control it!" And it does, but it is a smaller sized scoop, more similar to a decent regular scoop. The nylon/plastic material seems OK but the large metal DuraScoop has spoiled me. With a longer handle all your movements are exaggerated so you need to be sure the contents are going to stay in the scoop and not get accidentally spilled out which is why a larger, deeper scoop would be preferable. So now I am going to see if I can marry this one's handle with the larger metal scoop from the ineffective long handled one I tried previously and come up with a more perfect (for me) litter scoop.

This is one sturdy scoop! Heavy duty plastic means it's lightweight and can dig out the big clumps stuck in the corner without bending/breaking. I like the size of the scooper because it easily dumps into my Litter Genie, and the slats are close enough together to catch the smaller clumps. It comes in 4 pieces and you'll need a little strength to fit them together tightly, but once they're together they stay in place. The handles are nicely padded and grippy and the length of the handle is perfect. I can be in a chair or upright on my knees and not have to bend over to reach in, which I needed after a back injury. I don't use the side handle, but it's nice to have if you need to use both hands for extra strength. I've been using it for two weeks and will update if I run into any issues.

It works well. Tho the scoop could be a little bigger I like that its square shaped and can get the corners of the litter box. Definitely works well and helps if you have a bad back. Definitely good price for this product. It's a hard plastic so its prone to break if it gets stepped on etc...

Just ordered a second one.. the first one snapped in half after 6 months. It happened on a particularly wet and stuck section of litter..it works really well and makes it easy to scoop....so i am giving it a second chance. really a nice design and works great, til it breaks! but fingers crossed that the second one lasts longer

No flexibility at all. Getting it together was tricky , really have to use force to get the pieces to go together. I wouldn't buy it again. Doesn't really help me the way I needed it too.

I still use it, but the handle completely broke in half.

This is sturdy, easily assembled and works as it is supposed to.
