Fantastic electric scooter; worth the money.
Good power, not a huge learning curve, fantastic electric scooter. I really appreciate that you can lick it with the app and set the mode. Easy to collapse and pop back together, excellent battery life.

Love mine after a year
Had this about a year now so figured id write a quick review. Battery is still holding strong. Haven't had any issues with it whatsoever. Tires are good. Sturdy strong I am 230 pounds and hit max speed easily. Love that it folds up, charger is good, headlight is bright enough to see the road or sidewalk in front of you. I drove this to work even in the winter and rain and snow. 10/10 for the price! Only issue is the speed going uphill i have to avoid certain areas but it may be more of an issue with my weight than the scooter itself.

Nonexistent Customer Support
I ordered a NIU scooter as a birthday gift for my daughter and made sure to order early so it would arrive in time. Unfortunately, what should have been a special day turned into a major disappointment. When we unwrapped the scooter on her birthday, it had about 30% charge. She was able to take it for a short ride, but after returning it was already down to one bar. When we tried to charge it, the charger’s light never changed from green to red, and the scooter simply would not charge. I carefully followed all troubleshooting steps listed in the owner’s manual, but nothing worked. That’s when the real frustration began. Attempts to contact NIU’s customer support resulted in being placed on hold indefinitely or hung up on multiple times. I finally went through Amazon, who thankfully helped me get in touch with the company. Even then, NIU has done nothing but give me the runaround. They have refused to stand behind their product or offer a straightforward resolution. As of now, I am left with a defective scooter and a very disappointed daughter. The product failed on day one, and the customer service has been worse than the product itself. I strongly recommend avoiding this company if you value reliability, accountability, or even the most basic customer support.

Perfect
I’ve had it for a little while now and it is awesome. You don’t have to have minimum speed before it will activate everything works as it should. Very sturdy and definitely an adult size. Battery last as advertised.

Good pricing, decent ride with some shortcomings
More like 3.5/5. Owned the 100F for two months so far - my first electric scooter. It has saved me a lot of money on my daily commute and other low mileage trips when combined with public transit options (++ for the foldable handlebars, means it can fit under some bus seats). Much of the hardware actually punches well above its price range - the addition of suspension, turn signals, and foldable handlebars have helped cement this as a decent option under $400 after considering all the extras (you still need a helmet and so on). Where it falls for me: At best they are grossly overselling the range from this thing. Round-trip, my commute typically ends up being under 10 miles and I still have range anxiety. If you use it daily, you will be charging it daily, and it does not charge that fast either. The connected app is also quite buggy. It tries to force you into a tutorial, the first step being to squeeze the brakes, you do that, it doesn't move on. This was apparently fixed years ago according to NIU - I don't believe them. About the only positive in the app is being able to customize your max speed, which was very helpful for learning how to ride in the first few days. Overall, go do some research if you have a higher budget. The extra money can go a long way. At the same time, if you're on a budget and need point A to point B, you can't necessarily go wrong with this.

Niu KQi 100F - Well made, but mixed results (Less than 50% of advertised 'up-to range')
I initially purchased Niu KQi 100F directly from their website (the black model) - it arrived with the bell broken off in the box and the styrofoam padding shattered. Upon plugging it in to charge, the battery was DOA and did not function. The customer service experience dealing with NIU directly was horrible. They refused to send me a replacement scooter until the first one was returned (initially they would not refund me despite me having purchased additional "worry-free" purchase protection). I returned the first scooter to NIU and purchased the same scooter through Amazon the second time (the grey model) and it arrived intact and functioning. Overall, I do enjoy the scooter, it feels sturdy and well-made, but the advertised range is nowhere near close in my experience. I live in a flat part of Orange County, right near Disneyland - and after about 10 days of testing, I've found that the scooter can just barely hit about 8 miles of real world range, which is less than 50% of the advertised range of "up to 18 miles". The Niu app is also super glitchy and doesn't actually record your rides. Overall, while I do feel that the scooter is decent and well made, I've had 2 scooters with issues from the same manufacturer in under 90 days, so I'm wondering if there are larger issues at play? While the scooter has a fantastic combination of features, the IP65 water resistance, the foldable handlebars, the turn signals, the front suspension - but the range... the range really hurts. I suppose this device truly is ideal for a "last mile" solution? I was really hoping for 10 miles, but I can just barely get 8.

Great product!!!
Love this scooter! 100 times better then my Highboy! Only issue is I would have bought the 300 for extended range!!! Was not in my current budget. I am a tour guide in Niagara Falls and use it daily and get tons of questions about it!!! Hopefully can upgrade soon! Will always stay with NUI

The NIU Electric Scooter: Basically Our Family’s Newest Member
Let me just say this: the NIU K100F/K300X/AIR Electric Scooter is an absolute BEAST. My two teenage boys and I ride this thing everywhere—into town, to the store, around the neighborhood, and even on trips along the Cape Cod Canal. At this point, I’m pretty sure the scooter gets more fresh air than I do. Power? Oh, it’s got power. This thing has 600W–900W of “hold on tight and pray you charged your phone for GPS” power. It zips up hills, cruises on flats, and makes me feel way cooler than a grown adult should feel on a scooter. Battery life? Amazing. I swear this thing charges once, then runs for three days straight out of pure determination. We ride it all over creation and it still comes back with enough juice to judge my driving. Range? Perfect for the boys, perfect for me, and perfect for pretending we’re in a high-speed chase… at a reasonable, parent-acceptable speed. The best part? My teens actually want to hang out with me now. They see me grab the scooter key and suddenly they’re like, “Dad, wait for us!” I don’t question it. I just enjoy the moment. If you’re considering this scooter—stop considering. Buy it. Ride it. Let it improve your life in ways therapy can’t. 10/10 — would absolutely buy again and may or may not fight my kids for riding time.
