Great book! Habito writes with deep simplicity and compassion of how to awaken to our True Self that was never born and will never die by the practice of zen and Christian contemplation, both of which he has led zen retreats and christian contemplative retreats, many at Osage christian retreat center. I have done some of these retreats with Ruben at Richard Rohr's retreat center in New Mexico and here in Tucson and have been close friends with Sister Pascaline Coff. OSB who was in charge of Osage Christian retreat over many years Ruben Habito is both a highly respected Zen teacher and Christian contemplative master who in this book shows us how to open our heart to the liberating wisdom and compassion of the Bible: beautifully written and very practical in realizing our True Nature!

Love this book. It helps to discover the depth of scripture even more and encourages us not to only read about spirituality but practice it!

Every Christian should read this book I only wish I could afford to give each a copy...in the meantime I will just have to be an example!
