Love this Messenger Bag
I purchased this bag to use daily for work. I am a teacher and some days only bring a Chromebook back and forth from home to the high school and other days I bring a 17 inch laptop, Chromebook, multiple books, and papers to grade. I purchased this a few weeks ago and waited to write a review until I had used it for a little while. I have had one day where this bag did not hold everything I needed it to - and that was an incredibly rare day for me. The bag itself is well made with quality materials and I have no concerns that the bag will wear out any time soon. Two minor complaints - the clasps on the strap occasionally get caught on the overlapping lip (this is probably due to the weight that I've had in the bag at the times it get caught) and I would like the shoulder cushion to be a little longer to cushion more of my shoulder. I am extremely satisfied with this bag though - I've been looking for this for a long time!

Bad hardware, poor stitching.
Nice bag, but stitching quality is poor at best. Strap hardware clasps bend easily and will not secure to the metal loops on the bag...the stitching on the bag that holds the strap hardware let loose, so I am unable to use the shoulder strap. Very disappointed in the quality.

Disappointed
Stars/Rating Update: The seller received my feedback on the item and was WONDERFUL. He worked very closely with me to get the item refunded and then to get a new bag sent out to me. I was EXTREMELY pleased with his willingness to make the situation right. The new bag arrived quickly and the quality and so forth seems good. I would recommend this product and this seller.1st bag issue; now resolved: Star rating a 2; Was so looking forward to this bag's arrival; when it arrived it had multiple deep cuts on the front flap and numerous deep impressions on the bag side of the bag. I was not comfortable starting my relationship off with such damage. Sent it back and I'm upgrading to a bison bag with a different company. For the price, this should be made and inspected with more care. Disappointed. :-( re: the coloring, it arrived with a nice consistent color. no issues with the coloring at all.

Better than expected
When I first got the bag it had a very strong vegetable oil smell so I had to leave it outside for a month to air out. In general it isn't a bad bag but the shoulder pad stitching unraveled within a month. I've been using it for about two months now and carry a fair amount of heavy stuff in it with zero problem and no sign of wear on anything, yet.

Large, heavy and not too pliable
Well, I’ve had this bag now for about a month, or so, and it still has a very pronounces odor from either the leather or the dye. It’s well made, for the most part, but the zippers and the shoulder strap clips aren’t really that well made. For it to fit me well (I’m 6’ 2”), I’m going to have to take it to a cobbler and see if they can shorten the shoulder strap a bit ... On the last adjustment hole in the strap, the bag still hangs Lower than my ass. It’s very uncomfortable. I like the assortment of pockets and storage, though none of them yet are very flexible. If you are looking for a soft pliable leather bag, this isn’t the one. But, for $62, I’m sure I’ll use it. I’m going to keep applying leather conditioner and have it sized a little. Maybe that will help!

Decent for the money
Overall the quality was decent for the price. Leather was a little splochy and there were loose threads that needed to be trimmed. But I only need it for the few times a month I go into the office so works out fine.

Wear and tear
The latches on the sides of the strap catch onto the flap when you have it over your shoulder, and they get stuck and you have to pry them off. One of the metal latches on the side broke off from getting stuck on the flap. I would like to see if it is possible to return the strap only and have a new latch placed on it. The bag, itself is great. It's only the side latches catching onto the flap that is the problem. I would be fine with shortening my current strap, anyway.Thank you.

Thin leather burlap inside
The bag is good for what it cost. It’s thin leather. The buckles on the shoulder strap do not work well. There should be two straps to close the main compartment. It’s has a surprisingly large amount of space inside and plenty of zippered pouches to separate stuff. The inside of the bag is a a type of course burlap material seems very durable but it’s not a soft material. I’ve had it for a few weeks and it is working for my laptop and folders.
