2nd watch FAIL. Not durable enough for children.
I was part of the Kickstarter program for this watch. My son was too young to wear at the time, so we boxed it up and put it away. We just pulled out the Kickstarter watch and it worked perfectly. My son was playing on a trampoline and the nubs that hold on the band snapped off. He was heartbroken and I was disappointed because we JUST started using this for potty training (my son has Down syndrome, and is 7 years old)....so I bought this one from Amazon. Great out of the box. Set it up and recycled the packaging. He wore it for 3 days and one morning, the white screen appeared - along with a static looking screen. I reached out to Joy support and have received less than supportive help. I've been told that the white screen is indicative of water damage and there's nothing they can do. Are children supposed to take the watch off when washing hands? I don't understand why they would make a product that is so fragile (first the breakage, now the screen issues on a different watch) for CHILDREN. I'm so disappointed, and unless Joy can make this right - they get a 1 star from me, and would get NONE if possible. I've included the static screen shot and a picture of the broken nubs on the first watch.

FAILURE 2x including unresponsive customer service
Our first watch lasted for almost 3 months before it wouldn't hold synced settings. We contacted customer service. They gave us a process to try, it didn't work, so we escalated and got no response. We bought a second watch, and within the first day of use, the button became unresponsive.Aside from that, many touch points in this product are poorly considered:- It gets beat up fast, especially the screen, why not put a silicone frame around it for protection?- The band is not easy for a child to put on; why not use nylon webbing with velcro?- The ICE screen numbers are micro-tiny; what about design for accessibility?

Save your money and wait for them to get it made right...
I bought this for my 10 year old son with autism, after reading lots of reviews it was helpful for children on the spectrum. The concept is genius, the product is not. It has a long way to go. First of all, the watch resets to a brand new status at least 3 times a day and has to sync up again. Which looses out on missed tasks before we notice it disconnected. It only shows icons and not words, so the children has to figure out what the watch is actually even asking them to do. Anytime you change something, it has to sync again. The only pro is that, I got this deal on it because I’d be three times as mad if I had sprung for it at full price.

Worked until it broke
I loved this watch until it broke a month in after very little use. When it worked, it helped my adhd son stay on track.Update. They have very good customer service. I contacted them on them through their website and they are sending a replacement.

Product purchased July 16 failed by December 5
I bought this as "Potty Watch" for my Kindergartener with Spina Bifida to remind her to use the toilet. From the beginning, I couldn't use the "rewards" feature as she couldn't acknowledge the alarms because the button was too stiff. She couldn't even use it as a watch because she couldn't push the button to get it to show the time. Her teacher at school had difficulty with it and I often have to use my fingernail to press it. I hoped it would loosen up with use. Nope.By the end of November, I contacted the company to complain. About a week after I got a reply, the watch stopped keeping the time. It would lose the time and the program. I'd have to re-sync it, sometimes scrambling to do this before school. After the third time, we put the watch away until after xmas. I got around to emailing the company with all the info they requested (don't throw away the box as you need codes off of it for customer service!) today (Jan 1) and hope they will be able to resolve the issues we have had. The pictures I posted are from two separate days of it having no time/program. In the second one you can see it has a full battery, so that was not the issue. This product is a good idea, but ours was not reliable at all.On a side note, the band is short and gets dirty/stained really easily. It's not very easy to put on/take off your child (it often pinches her), but I guess it won't fall off easily, either. You can see the level of dirt in the pictures and this was AFTER I washed the band down with rubbing alcohol.

Does not work and the company knows it
I purchased this watch for Christmas for my son. The directions where not very clear when it came to setting it up. Once I was finished I let my son use it. The watch only work for a couple of hours and then it would only display the octopus logo and dashes where the time should be. I tired to sync the watch again, the battery what at 100 percent, and I tried a factory reset on the watch. All of these things would get the watch working again for about an hour and then it would stop. I contacted the company and their response was that they know there is a problem with this model and they are hoping to have and update for it in the future. The did nothing to solve the problem or help me, just Oh yeah, we know it doesn't work, we sold it broken, and we don't care and are going to do nothing about it! I can't believe this company!
