Sergio: a Dark Mafia Romance (Benedetti Brothers Book 3)

What I was looking for
Ok, so maybe I’m weird but I LOVE tragic sad endings even more than the HEA that most romance books offer. Maybe it’s my age or what I’ve dealt with in my life but I don’t always want to read about 20 somethings finding the “one”, getting married and baby as the Cherry on top. Sometimes I want to read a bitter, sad and oftentimes realistic ending (continuation in another form?) to what is true love.I went searching for a book like this online and ‘Sergio’ came up in the results. I really enjoyed it, I thought it was well written. I knew going in that this is in the middle of a series so I was expecting to not “get” everything. That said it was well paced, had an understandable underlying storyline, had a good amount of suspense, mystery, action and drama to go with good sex. For those of you NOT in the headspace for tears I suggest skipping this one. For those like me who want to see that death isn’t the end of “true love” I recommend this book.

Not quite what I expected.
Natalie was placed in Sergio's path twice for a reason. These two are made for each other but their story is not what I expected and I'm disappointed by that.

Oh be still my heart.
If you didn’t read book 1 or 2. Stop. Go back to the beginning. Prepare for this story. It is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. You will already know the outcome but Natasha gave him a story worth telling. I LOVED it.

Heartbreaking
I've never had a story that affected me so deeply and for so long...I'm certain someone better with words than me will do the story justice in a review, but the beauty and sorrow of this story will leech into every corner of your soul.I knew it was coming and I still didn't want it to be true and all I can say, as I look through my tears, is this is by far one of the best books I've read in 2018.I think this is the first time I've ever cried this ugly over a story, I was in love with the vivid imagery of the author's words and how they transported me into the middle of these main character's lives.I felt what they felt.I was afraid when Natalie was afraid.I was furious when Sergio was furious.I was wary and untrusting, seeking vengeance and mired in sorrow, but left wanting...just wanting it to be different, wanting there to be more time. Yes, by far one of the most emotional stories I've ever held in my hands."Why don't you sleep?".... "Because time is running out."Be prepared, have a box of tissues handy, this is not your typical dark romance read, but fans of Natasha Knight have been waiting for Sergio's story and it's amazing. Salvatore and Dominic's stories suddenly became so much more meaningful and emotional after adding the events of Sergio's life. This entire series will long remain one of my favorites and have a permanent place on my 'to be re-read' list.

Found my new favorite romance author!
This is my first review on a romance book... and I've read plenty of them. The good:The writing. The dialogue is interesting but also realistic. The characters felt real and I didn't feel like I was reading a cheesy novella. The romance scenes. Yum. This is my first book from this author and I will definitely continue because of how hot they were. The not so good:The pacing. I feel like the romance scenes were more loaded towards the front of the book, then the story became more drama focused the further along you read. This could be due to the nature of the ending, but I felt like the romance plot took a lull midway through the book because there was so much drama context that needed to be explained. Not a big deal, I still love this book and I will continue to read this author.I enjoyed the ending. I'm not saying I'd want to see it all the time, but a well-written story is much more important to me than HEA.

Jarring
This should not have been my first book by this author. Her note at the end is appreciated. The characters draw you in. I love how they meet twice. Well written. Gritty. You come to care for the characters although Sergio has sown violence so it is wise to understand he will reap it. Tough story. I can relate to the ending too well. I appreciate the writing but personally regret reading. Very emotional. I may take the authors advice and read the story of the other brothers. Not sure.

Heartbreaking and heartfelt all in one.
I started reading Sergio once I was finished all the other Benedetti brother’s books so I knew what was coming. I really appreciated Natasha’s notes before and after the book. The one before literally gave me goosebumps as I was reading it. I usually find books start out a little slow and it can take me a chapter or two to really get into it but with Sergio I was hooked from the start. I’m amazed that Natasha is able to make you feel so strongly about a character in such a short amount of time. This book was a little painful to read at times but it’s well worth it. You won’t be disappointed.

Sergio Benedetti Brothers Book 3
First things first this is a short bookI didn’t enjoy this one as much as I thought I would. After loving the first two in the series I was a bit disappointed. But this is just my opinion you’ll have to read it yourself. This won’t stop me continue reading the rest in the series.

one of the best mob romance stories
The book concentrates on the relationship between Nat and Sergio till the very end. The ending is uncommon for romance stories, but it made it more real that way. I laughed with them and I cried with them. I liked the way of writing a lot...it made me be there and feel whathy were feeling. Great job writing this book. I haven't read the stores about his 2 brothers yet, and I am curious whats are they thinking about and how they act. Loved the story!

5 Stars for Sergio and Natalie
5 Stars for Sergio and Natalie.I loved this book so much that I hated it.And I hated it so much that I loved it.I'd already read Salvatore and Dominic's stories and loved both of those, but Sergio was already killed prior to the first book (Salvatore), and because of that I wasn't going to read Sergio's story. But, I'm a curious person (unfortunately) and my curiosity got the better of me.There has never been a book that's made me cry as much of this one, and I don't know if there ever will be because there is no happy ending, and I knew there wasn't going to be when I bought it.But... I love Sergio and Natalie's story, I love everything about them and what they went through, and it really does suck that they don't have a happy ending. For me, Sergio is an irreplaceable person, I can't imagine Natalie with anyone else. And as much as I don't want her to be with anyone else, everyone deserves a happy ending. So, I would actually like to see Natalie have her own book. I would like to see her have a happy ending.

Fabulous
Natasha Knight has done it again. What an amazing story of love found and love lost. This story is heartbreaking and so moving. Sergio and Natalie are doomed lovers who only have a very short time together. Sinfully hot as well.
