Everything went together fine in about 20 minutes
Everything went together fine in about 20 minutes, and it looks great and fits perfect standing inside my Ikea Detolf display case. While I agree with other review's that it's not the most detailed and accurate model that it possibly could be, I found the level of detail plenty accurate for the casual observer. Where else are you going to get a model Saturn V this large? You'd really have to be a space buff to notice anything wrong. For the price, and the size, this makes me very happy to look at standing in my room each day. It really adds to the effect to get some 1:72 scale people to stand next to it.

Dont waste money on this, its not what you think.
POS. Escape rocket broken off, its plastic model poorly assembled. Fuel cell which doubles as a brace for the stand was broken free. It is a poor overpriced display model. Buy the one you build yourself. I am glueing this POS back together and very frustrated with the large price tag for a POS.

Big model, great display, but lacks detail
This 1/72nd scale Saturn V is huge. When assembly is complete (which takes around 30 minutes) the model stands over five feet tall and looks impressive as a display. The entire model is made of plastic and is light for such a big model. The first and second stages provide very little detail, but the command module is finished well and looks good. Overall finish is good, but there is some overspray and my model had a few minor scuffs as well. Normally I would rate this model in the 3 star range - but you get a huge model for the price. Better than a toy, but not a detailed replica. Definitely not designed to be played extensively with.

The Mighty Saturn V deserves better than this Dragon knock-off
Listening to all the complaints about this model (not kit) makes me wonder how they can still charge so much for not having a LEM? Quality shuld be assured for this price and is apparently lacking. No Go for Apollo here!

First off good model but the mold lines are badly done and VERY noticeable up close. other than that for a factory panted model it is done well. MY BIGGEST ANGRY COMPLAINT is that the model i received is the saturn v with SKYLAB????!!!! there was no mention of a skylab version where i ordered. i thought like the picture i would have the LEM adapter CSM and launch escape tower.

Don't waste your money
I bought this for a birthday gift for my Dad. It came broken. There were pieces missing, paint overspray on the model and no stand. What a JOKE!!!!!!! I was unable to give my Dad a birthday that I was saving for, for a long time. On the box it advertises that some pieces are diecast metal, the whole thing is cheap plastic. Don't waste your money.

be aware of minor discrepancies.
There are minor discrepancies in the model such as over spray and there is a little rough molding (ridges) in the first stageof the rocket. Like the other reviwer said it would grade as 3 not 4. The overall appearance is good for a mass production. I would not compate this model with bandai apollo series in quality. Thir quality is much of higher standards than this. Since this is not a high quality museum show piece I would put a rocket motor on it and see if flies. I would email of their problem on this model that got delivered late in December instead of august that thier model is badly flawed.
