Handy but not quite great
This is a good flashlight, sturdy, works well. Has good capacity. Also can serve asIt is moderate/medium size - 7 inches by 2 inches. It has 4 brightness levels plus and SOS signal and a strobe mode. For the intended use, as a household wall mounted light for power loss, don't see much need for those, but just ignore them. It is IPX7 so has good enough water resist for household use. The bright setting is very bright and lasts a bit over an hour. The lowest setting is very low but is supposed to last for a week (did not test this, but seems reasonable).Battery is not removable or replaceable AFAICT. You charge the flashlight (and keep it charged) by putting it into a wall mounting (included along with a reasonable long USB-C cable). The wall mount has LEDs that can be set to turn on (either white or red) when the power to the mount is cut off. This is great for locating the flashlight in the dark if you loose power. What's not so great is that there is no positive easy way to be sure that the flashlight is being charged when it's in the mount. There is a RED LED that lights when power is applied to the mount. It also lights if you put the flashlight into the mount and the power is off. To tell if the flashlight is getting power from the mount, you must disconnect the USB-C cable from the mount (or unplug it from the wall) and then check the LED; if the LED is lit, the flashlight is connected to the mount. If it's not, it means the flashlight is not quite seated correctly and so would not receive power to charge it (once you re-plug the A/C power). So you can put the flashlight in the mount, with the mount receiving power from the USB-C charger, and never know that the flashlight's charge was being maintained. The 'pro' versions of this setup have a separate LED for each funtion: 'is this mount getting power from USB-C / AC' and 'is the flashlight connected properly to the mount'? That's a feature that would be REALLY helpful for this product(!)
