We’re trying to get gun safes for all of our guns. It makes us feel better knowing they are secure when our grandkids are around. This is a high-quality safe and is easy to open. Instructions are clear and it’s compact enough to sit on our nightstand. Great value!

I needed a safe for my pistol and a few valuables. After Milton roared through I realized I needed to have a stash of cash available for emergency use, and this gives me a convenient place to keep it. Credit cards are useless when there are widespread power outages.Like many, my bedroom became cluttered with too many single use devices. I needed a safe, but just couldn't find a place to put one. This multi-function safe helped eliminate much of that clutter.The space and layout of this safe works very well for me. There's ample room for my pistol, spare magazine, my Omega and a roll of emergency cash. I like that the interior lights up when I open it so I don't have to turn on a lamp.I like the way the alarm clock works, and that it will function even if the power goes out. I do wish I could see the display at night without having to sit up.Setting the safe up took me about 30 minutes. Everything was pretty straightforward, and all the features work very well. The fingerprint reader is easy to use, and I'm not likely to use the punch codes.I'm pleased with my purchase and have recommended this safe to a couple of my friends.

There are a few things to consider when getting a safe, particularly for a firearm. The first consideration is how difficult it is to break in to, and how much time is it likely to take someone, assuming they cannot remove it from your home. In this regard, this safe is somewhat secure. Much attention has been given to its construction, with very thick metal around the sides, top, bottom and the drawer. The combination of biometrics, code and key, as different ways in which this can be secured are all reasonably good. That being said, there are 2 important things that I am concerned about. The first is the key. This is pretty much just a standard key and keyhole. With a reasonably good drill, this could be drilled out quickly and the mechanism disengaged, thereby releasing the drawer. The second thing is the drawer itself. Though the metal is thick, without much effort, one could wedge a prybar between the drawer and the top. This would probably take longer than drilling the keyhole, but it’s still a notable weakness.The second consideration is how difficult the safe is to remove from your premises entirely (providing the opportunity to break it open somewhere else. It is here that I think is the biggest weakness. There’s no hole or mounting solution with which you could attach the safe to something else to make stealing it difficult. A robber happening upon this could just scoop it up and deal with it at their leisure. Now, upon removing the drawer, I can see that there is just enough room whereby one could drill holes in the bottom and use rounded bolts to affix it to an object, such as a nightstand. Still, this would require the user to make modifications.Overall, if these things I described don’t concern you, or your purpose doesn’t require them (such as to keep firearms out of the hands of children), then this might be for you. The price point isn’t too bad for the value, but I believe that the manufacturer could have spent just a bit more time adding a solution to secure the safe to an object and I would pay more for a secure lock.

Good quality for the price. I appreciate the added features of the clock and humidity sensor. Accepts multiple finger prints, so I added several from each hand. I had my kids try to open it using their fingerprints and it kept them locked out. Just what I was looking for.
