Heavy on the Lore, light on the mechanics
!83 pages of this 191 page book is in-world everything you ever wanted to know about playing an Ork or Troll is Shadowrun. Written in the signature infodump w/commentary bullet points seen through all of the 5e books. The information is interesting, entertaining, and well-written; its just unfortunate that there's only seven pages of content that you can use to actually enhance your PC/NPCs on your character sheets. Artwork and the book's overall quality is in line with Catalyst's standard (which is pretty good, and probably why these books cost so much). This is a book that desperately needs some flavorful sidebars of mechanics appropriate to the regions, viewpoints, allies and enemies described. A new (or even reprints of) arcane traditions, totems and spells, martial arts, racial variants, weapons or other gear, etc. would have really enhanced what is essentially a novel written in sourcebook format. Though I suppose this would require an index to be included to keep track of everything, and we all know how much CGL hates those.Take the chains off of J.M. Hardy and give us some more Meat, Catalyst!

Ork and Trolls!
I like the fluff around being an Ork or Troll, but I get the other reviewer comment about lack of crunch. If you want more fluff, or get at a discount, then I'd recommend.
